Service bulletins for the 2019 Subaru Ascent
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 10-95-19 | 2019-10-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This bulletin announces availability of new heater control panels assemblies with revised operating logic. Previously, when A/C cut-off control was activated (e.g. under full acceleration), the air inlet mode would be switched from inside (recirculation) to “fresh” and allow outside (fresh) air to enter the cabin. This is considered normal and intended operation, consistent with the design of the system. However, in the interest of customer satisfaction, these new control panels retain the selected air inlet mode regardless of a/c cut-off control status (off or on). |
