Service bulletins for the 2025 Rivian R1S

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

RCA-26-26-001-12026-04-07. Service campaign. ENGINE. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2025 R1T and R1S vehicles that are susceptible to water contaminating the refrigerant system. Water contamination may cause premature failure of some refrigerant system components or, in some cases, cause a loss of HV isolation. A loss of HV isolation could cause the vehicle to enter a reduced performance safe state mode, and a "Limited Performance Mode" indicator light to illuminate on the driver display. Rivian will inspect the refrigerant system for water contamination and, if necessary, replace affected refrigerant system components. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

RCA-78-25-003-12025-06-04. Service campaign. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2023-2025 R1T and R1S vehicles. This improper formatting prevents video recording of driving incidents and Motion Cam, which is part of the vehicle's Gear Guard system. Rivian will properly format the SSD. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
RCA-78-25-004-12025-06-04. Service campaign. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2025 R1T and R1S vehicles that may have been built with upper and lower 12V battery brackets that may cause damage to the 12V battery. In these cases, the vehicle will display a "12V Battery Warning" on the instrument cluster or the customer may not be able to power up or drive the vehicle. Rivian will replace the 12V battery and both the upper and lower battery brackets. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
RCA-30-24-002-12024-10-03. Service campaign. FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2025 R1S vehicles that may have a substandard weld in a Battery Voltage Temperature circuit connection. This condition may result in the vehicle entering a reduced performance safe state mode, with a "Limited Performance Mode" indicator light illuminating on the driver display. Rivian will replace the HV battery in the affected vehicles. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
