Service bulletins for the 2026 Ram 5500
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 9100833 | 2026-07-02. Service bulletin. FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Fuel Delivery Module Before replacing the fuel module for DTCs P0461 and P062A and other not start, long crank, fuel gauge accuracy and drivability issues, the technician should disconnect the electrical connector at the pump and perform a visual inspection of the connector for and bent, spread, or pushed out terminals. Repair any issues found. Reconnect the plug and perform a push pull push to ensure the connector is fully installed. Then perform 3 keys cycles and listen to hear if the fuel pump is operational. If the fuel pump is heard that indicates that everything is operating correctly. If the pump is heard replacement is not necessary, any replacement will function in the same way. |

| 9100823 | 2026-06-03. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Customer Experience: Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) gauge on the cluster is erratic or has fluctuations. Gauge is displaying a level not representative of what is in the tank. In some cases the level drops below the low level warning and customers gets an EVIC warning. When DEF level is too low the vehicle will be derated to 5 mph after 200 miles of dropping below the low level warning. From MY13 to MY24, the DEF pump had the level sensor integrated into the pump, but this changed for MY25+. In MY25 and beyond the sensor is now welded to the DEF tank. Technicians are replacing DEF pumps for faulty level sensor concerns. Replacing the DEF pump will do nothing to improve issues with the DEF level gauge. DEF pumps being replaced for level sensor/gauge issues has now become one of the most significant warranty issues for the DEF system as a whole. DEF system Eng. team is currently working with Cummins (who owns the PCM) to properly filter the signal sent from the DEF level sensor in the tank, to prevent the erratic gauge readings. |
