| 2022108 | 2022-03-11. Brakes. Issue: On certain vehicles, the warning lamp for the electronic stability control (ESC) system may not turn on when there is a problem with the ESC system. Safety Risk: A driver that is not aware of a problem with the ESC system could have an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the antilock brake system (ABS) control module software. |

This could cause the seals to swell and result in brake drag, causing overheating of the brake pads, brake rotor, and brake fluid. This would affect brake performance. Safety Risk: Reduced brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the front brake calipers, front rubber brake lines, and bleed the brakes. |
