Service bulletins for the 2018 Porsche Panamera
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 122-X8Y9N-07 | 2018-08-06. Service bulletin. WHEELS; STRUCTURE:FRAME AND MEMBERS. A vacuum line at the vacuum reservoir in the left front wheel well was not connected properly during production and may become disconnected (see the picture below). The repair is to simply reconnect the line and make sure it is not under tension. |
| 122-H8L6P-07 | 2018-08-06. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY; EQUIPMENT. Information: Side sections can crack when replacing the tank module or charging module |
| 122-A4N2Y-07 | 2018-08-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Subject: Control unit for Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) Information: Due to a software error, there is a possibility that communication between the PASM control unit and other control units will sometimes be aborted when the ignition is switched on in the affected vehicles. |
| 122-B9L7S-07 | 2018-07-30. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Subject: Control unit for rear-end electronics Symptom: The alarm system is triggered spontaneously (for no apparent reason). Cause: The mobile phone antenna (GSM) signals can be picked up by the interior surveillance system and result in spontaneous triggering of the alarm system. |
| 122-R9H5B-07 | 2018-07-30. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Concerns: Belt tensioner Information: Checking belt tensioner in the event of a complaint about "leaks" before carrying out any other work. |
| 122-P5G7U-07 | 2018-07-30. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Oil in the wiring harness. If oil is found in the engine wiring harness during a repair, the wiring harness and all the affected components (including the oil pump control valve) must be replaced. |

| 122-A4N2Y-07 | 2018-07-30. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SUSPENSION. Subject: Control unit for Porsche Active SuspensionManagement (PASM) Information: Due to a software error, there is a possibility that communication between the PASM control unit and other control units will sometimes be aborted when the ignition is switched on in the affected vehicles. |
| 122-N9H2B-06 | 2018-06-25. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER. Subject: Window cleaning fluid Information: The affected vehicles were not filled with window cleaning fluid at the factory because the window cleaning fluid is not currently available. For this reason, the washer fluid reservoir on the affected vehicles was only partly filled with water. Remedial Action: Before vehicle delivery to customers, the washer fluid reservoir must be filled with a window cleaning fluid listed in the EPA Inventory during the sales check. |
| 122-Z2P4B-06 | 2018-06-25. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Technical Background The coolant pump for the high voltage battery actively monitors its own speed and current consumption. For a given commanded speed, if the actual pump speed exceeds a defined value and the current consumption drops below a certain threshold, a dry run condition is detected. The pump communicates this to the high voltage battery control unit and fault code P0C4A00 is stored. One possible cause of this is air in the low temperature cooling system. This fault can take several hundred miles to set. |
| 122-B9V4V-06 | 2018-06-25. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Information: The Approval and Support Management system was created to offer assistance to the dealer organization with new and complex technical issues by utilizing the Support Specialists within Porsche R&D. As a result, this process has reduced vehicle downtime and repeat repairs substantially. |

Cause: The filler flap/charge port door may be difficult to actuate due to unfavorable component tolerances on the affected vehicles. Remedial Action: Replace the filler flap/charge port door and rework it if necessary (if there is a visible edge) before fitting. |
| 122-D9W6F-06 | 2018-06-25. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Cause: The gap dimension between the tank cap and seal may be too small, making it difficult to open or close the tank cap. Remedial Action: Rework the top centering bar on the tank module |
| 122-A2R4B-06 | 2018-06-25. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:FAN. There is a possibility that the pressure hose between the charge-air cooler and throttle valve for cylinders 4?6 is rubbing against the cooling fan housing on the affected vehicles. This can cause a leak in the pressure hose at the chafing point over the service life of the vehicle. This will result in reduced engine power and the Check Engine light will be activated. |
| 122-T5A2Z-05 | 2018-05-21. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); EQUIPMENT. Condition The remote key battery is discharged before it?s expected. Technical Background A manufacturing defect damages the key and causes the key battery to discharge prematurely. This damage cannot be repaired. |
| 122-R6Y8J-05 | 2018-05-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). Condition The customer experiences an interruption in Apple CarPlay service after selecting the reverse gear. In other words, after the PCM screen displays the reverse camera, the PCM screen will not display Apple CarPlay until the user resets the PCM (perhaps by cycling the ignition). |
