Service bulletins for the 2017 Porsche Panamera
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 122-X2X7N-07 | 2019-07-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Notice to dealers that coolants will be moved out of the special tool cabinet in the dealer service department in order to make room for new special tools. All coolant tools will be moved to the "Coolant Cart" because they need to be housed in the same place. |

| 122-V5F8X-07 | 2019-07-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM. Information on new model designation logos which can be purchased and applied to the rear exhaust area of a vehicle, displaying the model designation on the outside of the vehicle. |
| 122-T4V3R-04 | 2019-04-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. There is cast residue in the cylinder head cover sealing groove, causing the injector holes to leak. |
| 122-U2A6V-03 | 2019-03-25. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; ENGINE. Complaint - Engine Support Broken: Replacing Both Engine Supports |
| 122-R8P3T-01 | 2019-02-25. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Oil Leakage from Cylinder Head of 3.0 and 2.9-Liter V6 Engines |
| 122-W6M7A-11 | 2018-11-13. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Subject: Coolant pipe between engine block and left cylinder head (cyl. 4?6) Infomation: The coolant pipe between the engine block and left cylinder head on the affected vehicles can crack over the service life of the vehicle due to vibrations in the cooling system. If this happens, coolant can leak out. If the coolant loss goes unnoticed, this will activate the coolant temperature light and the coolant level warning light in the instrument cluster. |
| 122-R9H5B-07 | 2018-08-06. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Concerns: Belt tensioner Information: Checking belt tensioner in the event of a complaint about "leaks" before carrying out any other work. |
| 122-P5G7U-07 | 2018-08-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING; ENGINE. Oil in the wiring harness. If oil is found in the engine wiring harness during a repair, the wiring harness and all the affected components (including the oil pump control valve) must be replaced. |
| 122-R9H5B-07 | 2018-07-30. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Concerns: Belt tensioner Information: Checking belt tensioner in the event of a complaint about "leaks" before carrying out any other work. |
| 122-A2R4B-06 | 2018-06-25. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:FAN. There is a possibility that the pressure hose between the charge-air cooler and throttle valve for cylinders 4?6 is rubbing against the cooling fan housing on the affected vehicles. This can cause a leak in the pressure hose at the chafing point over the service life of the vehicle. This will result in reduced engine power and the Check Engine light will be activated. |
| 122-A6Z3V-03 | 2018-03-13. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE (EGR VALVE). Subject: Intake valves and intake ports Information: Carboned-up valves in the engine can be reworked and cleaned using cleaning equipment. If there is a complaint about knocking combustion, e.g. during acceleration at high load, the condition of the intake valves and portsmust be checked before doing any other work. If the check shows that the intake valves and intake ports have carbon deposits and are dirty, they must be cleaned using the VAS 294 011 - cleaning unit. There should be no need to replace the components. Date of Introduction: The VAS 294 011 - cleaning unit can be ordered immediately for dealers. Remedial Action: The VAS 294 011 - cleaning unit is used for cleaning carboned-up intake valves and intake ports. Compressed air is used to spray a special granulatemixture into the intake port, where it loosens and removes carbon build-up. The dirty granulate is extracted during spraying using an industrial vacuum cleaner. |
| 122-S3R9K-03 | 2018-03-13. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM. Change of supplier for the heat shields for the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors from "Thermamax" to "ISOLITE". If a heat shield needs to be replaced, the existing type of heat shield must be determined before doing any other work. If the heat shield to be replaced is a "Thermamax" heat shield, the entire set (all related heat shields) must also be replaced. |

Subject: Gateway control unit Information: Due to a software error, the sports exhaust system can remain activated after switching the ignition off and on again although it is shown as inactive in the Vehicle menu. Remedial action: Re-code gateway control unit |
| 122-W6Z8L-08 | 2017-10-25. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Concern: Abrupt, ?Harsh? Gear Shift Changes, particularly in first and second gears Information: Rough gear changes with unmatched engine and transmission revs can be attributed to an unadapted PDK. |
