Service bulletins for the 2015 Porsche Panamera
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 122-X4D4A-09 | 2018-01-29. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. The unwarranted errormessages "Hybrid system fault" and "Reduced engine power" can appear sporadically in the instrument cluster on the affected vehicles under certain driving conditions because the diagnostic function for the hybrid decoupler is too sensitive. If this happens, engine power will be reduced and the Check Engine light will be activated until the ignition is switched off and on again. |
| 122-W7F5R-05 | 2017-12-22. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that parts from a certain batch that do not meet the required specifications were installed in control units for the high-voltage battery on the affected vehicles. As a result, the high-voltage system can fail when attempting to start the vehicle. If this happens, the vehicle will not start and the warning message "Hybrid system failure" will appear in the instrument cluster. |
| 122-W9M4S-12 | 2017-12-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Subject: Charging socket Symptom: Water does not sufficiently drain away from the charging socket area, especially after heavy rain. The water may remain in the charging socket for some time. Electrical components of the charging socket, such as switches, connectors or LEDs, are corroded. This may also cause a check engine warning, hybrid warnings, and various fault codes related to the high voltage battery charger. |
| 122-T7Y5Q-12 | 2017-12-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Information: This document updates information previously published in EQ 1105, EQ 1105, and EQ 1401. To provide stable voltage and sufficient current throughout certain service operations, you should connect the vehicle to a battery charger (sometimes referred to as a power supply). However, you may experience ECU programming and coding issues if the chosen battery charger has insufficient power. Many workshop manuals currently advise use of a battery charger with a 40 or 70 A current rating. However, with the increasing current requirements of modern Porsche vehicles, we recommend a battery charger capable of producing a minimum current of 90 A. |
| 122-P6P7K-10 | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. There is increased friction in the air spring compressor valves at temperatures below ?13° F (?25° C). This can result in a situation in which the maximum control current is not sufficient to actuate the valves. As a result, a warning message will be displayed in the instrument cluster and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) will stop working temporarily. Re-program PASM control unit using the PIWIS Tester with software version 33.010.030 (PIWIS Tester 3) or version 17.100.030 (PIWIS Tester II) or a higher software version installed. |
| 122-Z6W8C-07 | 2017-10-27. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Subject: Discharge protection function of the batterymanagement system(BMS) in order to extend the service life of high-voltage and low-voltage batteries |
| 122-X3Y7Q-07 | 2017-10-27. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Concerns: AGM starter battery (referred to below simply as 'battery') Situation: Support for the care andmaintenance of the AGMstarter battery (at the dealership): From the time the vehicle is delivered to the Porsche Centre until it is handed over to the customer, the battery must be maintained and charged regularly, depending on use. |
| 122-R8X7Z-07 | 2017-10-27. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Customer complaints concerning battery-related topics Recurring customer complaints concerning topics relating to battery capacity and quality. |
| 122-B7U4T-05 | 2017-10-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Customer Concern: Certain vehicle systems have unwanted, unpredictable behavior. Technical Concern: The symptoms are difficult to diagnose. There may be multiple symptoms intermittently affecting multiple systems. Though this is not an exhaustive list, some common failure modes are: ? Start/stop issues ? Power windows not fully returning to the parked position after automatic preopening ? PCM audio stopping during a start/stop cycle Ultimately, the technician determines that low 12-volt battery voltage is the underlying root cause of the unwanted behavior. The technician corrects the battery?s low voltage. Consequently, the unwanted behavior ends. |
| 122-W8J3S-09 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Technical Concern: Porsche designs plug-in hybrid vehicles to protect the health of the high voltage battery. One way the vehicle does this is by disabling high electrical load features when the high voltage battery has a low state of charge. |
| 122-U5S5J-09 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Information: During the packaging of a High Voltage Lithium Ion battery, copies of The test log for classification of lithium-ion high voltage batteries (located in PIWIS - Standard Forms) must be attached inside the box and to the document bag on the exterior of the box as per the Workshop Manual 2X00IN Packing non-critical high-voltage battery (970, 971, 92A) or Workshop Manual 2708IN Packaging instructions for high-voltage battery (918) |
| 122-J5A5S-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Concerns: High-voltage battery control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. New software for the high-voltage battery control unit is available for the affected vehicles. This software improves or corrects the following: The temperature of the high-voltage battery is monitored by two temperature sensors for each cell module. The current diagnostic setup of the high-voltage system does not allow for this redundancy and causes the warning message "Hybrid system failure - Park vehicle safely" to be displayed in the instrument cluster if one temperature sensor fails even though the temperature of the cell module is still monitored reliably by the remaining sensor. |
