2022-08-31. Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain vehicles, covers were not installed over the horizontal headlamp adjusters. As a result, the headlamps may be adjusted horizontally. Canadian regulations do not allow for horizontal headlamp adjustment unless the vehicle is equipped with a built-in aiming device. Safety Risk: Headlamps that are not properly adjusted could cause reduced visibility or glare for oncoming drivers, and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install caps over the headlamp adjustment screws.
|---|---|
2019-06-12. Powertrain. Issue: On certain vehicles, the transmission shifter could detach from the transmission. This could cause the transmission not to shift gears when the shifter is moved. As a result, the transmission could be in a different gear than the gear shifter indicates. If a driver attempts to exit the vehicle while the transmission is not in Park, and the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle could move suddenly. Safety Risk: Sudden and unexpected movement of the vehicle could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the shifter cable bushing. Owners are reminded to use the parking brake anytime the vehicle is parked.
2019-04-25. Electrical. Issue: On certain cars, water could leak into the air conditioning blower control unit. Over time, this could cause a short circuit that could cause it to melt or burn. This could happen while driving or after the vehicle is parked and shut off. Safety Risk: A short circuit in the blower control unit could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and advise them what to do. When a remedy is available, owners will be requested to bring their car to a dealership for repair. Owners are advised to park their car outdoors until the recall repairs have been completed.
2017-06-07. Engine. On certain vehicles, the fasteners of the camshaft adjusters could fail due to an assembly problem. If this occurs, this could cause abnormal engine noises, vibrations, illumination of the check engine light and could cause the vehicle to stall, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the fastening screws of the camshaft adjusters and if necessary, replace the camshaft adjuster assemblies.
2015-01-16. Fuel System. On certain vehicles, the fuel rail may leak fuel in the engine compartment under certain driving conditions. Leaking fuel in the presence of an ignition source could lead to a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the fuel rail and corresponding seals.
2012-07-11. Engine. On certain vehicles, the turbocharger turbine wheel may have been incorrectly manufactured and could fail. Turbine wheel failure would result in a noticeable decrease in vehicle performance. Continued vehicle operation could cause the turbine shaft to also fracture. If the fractured shaft moves out of a bearing, oil may be drawn into the exhaust system, which could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the turbocharger assembly.
