Service bulletins for the 2011 Porsche Panamera
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 122-A6Z3V-03 | 2018-03-13. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE (EGR VALVE). Subject: Intake valves and intake ports Information: Carboned-up valves in the engine can be reworked and cleaned using cleaning equipment. If there is a complaint about knocking combustion, e.g. during acceleration at high load, the condition of the intake valves and portsmust be checked before doing any other work. If the check shows that the intake valves and intake ports have carbon deposits and are dirty, they must be cleaned using the VAS 294 011 - cleaning unit. There should be no need to replace the components. Date of Introduction: The VAS 294 011 - cleaning unit can be ordered immediately for dealers. Remedial Action: The VAS 294 011 - cleaning unit is used for cleaning carboned-up intake valves and intake ports. Compressed air is used to spray a special granulatemixture into the intake port, where it loosens and removes carbon build-up. The dirty granulate is extracted during spraying using an industrial vacuum cleaner. |
| 122-J4K4G-02 | 2018-02-12. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Subject: Fastening screws for camshaft controllers Information: Due to influencing factors during the camshaft controller assembly process, the threaded connections can become strained to such an extent that the function of the camshaft controller cannot be guaranteed over the service life of the vehicle. |
| 122-N2C3W-02 | 2018-02-12. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM. Subject: Fastening screws for camshaft controllers Information: Due to influencing factors during the camshaft controller assembly process, the threaded connections can become strained to such an extent that the function of the camshaft controller cannot be guaranteed over the service life of the vehicle. |
| 122-L4X2R-10 | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM. There is a possibility that the function of the change-over valve for the sport exhaust system can fail as a result of water leaking in and causing corrosion. If this happens, the mode that was activated last will remain active. It will no longer be possible to switch between Sport and Normal mode in this case.In the event of a customer complaint or spare parts requirements for the change-over valve, the change-over valve and several individual components must be replaced - until such a time as the change-over valve becomes available as a repair kit, |
| 122-M8J2T-06 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ENGINE. Concerns: DME control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. Certain environmental conditions and the quality of fuel available in themarket can cause combustion residue to build up on the throttle valve on the affected vehicles over the service life of the vehicle. This can impair the diagnostic function for the throttle valve and as a result, the Check Engine warning light will be activated. |
| 122-M7V3V-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Concerns: Heat shield (also referred to as tunnel heat shield) Information: Modified heat shield If the cardan shaft needs to be replaced, the type of heat shield installed must be checked. Depending on which type is installed, the heat shield may have to be replaced. |
| 122-A4T8C-06 | 2017-08-25. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Concerns: Vacuum pump Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the elastomer check valve in the additional outlet on the vacuum pump can become damaged over the service life of the vehicle. As a result, the vacuumsupplied to the secondary loadsmay not be sufficient. This can cause malfunctions in the variable intake system. The lack of vacuum can also result in a fault entry during tank leakage diagnosis in the DME and can cause the Check Engine light to come on. |
