Service bulletins for the 2009 Porsche Cayman

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

377 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

122-T7Y5Q-122017-12-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Information: This document updates information previously published in EQ 1105, EQ 1105, and EQ 1401. To provide stable voltage and sufficient current throughout certain service operations, you should connect the vehicle to a battery charger (sometimes referred to as a power supply). However, you may experience ECU programming and coding issues if the chosen battery charger has insufficient power. Many workshop manuals currently advise use of a battery charger with a 40 or 70 A current rating. However, with the increasing current requirements of modern Porsche vehicles, we recommend a battery charger capable of producing a minimum current of 90 A.
122-S9G7U-062017-09-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Concerns: Power distributor (? Installation position of power distributor) Information: In the event of complaints relating to the overall power supply on the vehicle and if a "corroded pin in the power distributor" is determined as the cause of the problem, the pin (? Item 1 is old style) must be replaced.
122-B9C6P-062017-08-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY:PEDAL/HAND LEVER(MOTORCYCLE). Concerns: Clutch pedal switch Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is the possibility that plastic particles may be deposited on the contacts of the clutch pedal switch on the affected vehicles over their service life, causing electric malfunctions of the switch. As a result, the message "Depress clutch pedal" may be displayed in the instrument cluster when you try to start the engine, although the clutch pedal is already pressed, and the engine only starts after several attempts.
