Subject: Air-conditioning system function Situation: Customers complain that the air conditioning does not function at times or after starting it. The air conditioning does not turn on or is turned off if the state of charge of the high-voltage battery is very low and also if the battery is not sufficiently charged while driving.
122-N9F6H-012017-12-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Information: The customer complains that certain functions of the front camera are not available at times: * Lane Change Assist not available * Porsche Dynamic Light System not available * Traffic sign recognition not available Cause: Image sensor fault in the front camera. 122-W6E3D-032017-10-25. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. No cooling in the passenger compartment. NOTE: A low state of charge of the High Voltage Battery can cause the AC to be deactivated until the state of charge increases to an adequate level. Customers who do not plug their vehicle in on a regular basis may have this issue. There are two shut off valves in the refrigeration circuit. 1. The chiller shut off valve is normally open and requires 12V be applied to it from the AC control unit to close it. This would stop cooling of the high voltage battery. a. Power and ground from the AC CU can be checked at the connector of the valve. 2. The evaporator shut off valve is normally closed and requires 12V to be applied to it, via a relay, in order for the valve to open and provide cooling to the passenger compartment. a. The evaporator shut off valve can be diagnosed easily by removing the relay and jumping the load contacts of the relay to see if power makes it to the valve. Power at the valve opens it and the evaporator gets cold with normal AC operation. b. The relay winding circuit can be tested for power and ground from the AC CU.
122-P6P7K-102017-10-15. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Converting transfer cases that are still in stock to the new type before installing themin customer vehicles. The optimized transfer case is used during production from week 31/2016. If the transfer case needs to be replaced, check the part number of the new transfer case. If the transfer case is the old type, it must be converted to the new type before doing any other work. Conversion to the new type involves: ? Fitting a new protective ring on the front output drive (sometimes also referred to as "dust boot"), ? Fitting a new vent connection (breather adapter) ? Retrofitting a vent line in the vehicle.
