| 122-F3A8L-09 | 2018-01-29. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This campaign includes steps where control unit(s) in the vehicle will be programmed with the PIWIS Tester. The vehicle voltage must be maintained between 13.5 volts and 14.5 volts during this programming. Failure to maintain this voltage could result in damaged control unit(s). Damage caused by inadequate voltage during programming is not a warrantable defect. The technician must verify the actual vehicle voltage in the PIWIS Tester before starting the campaign and also document the actual voltage on the repair order. Please refer to Equipment Information EQ1401 for a list of suitable battery chargers/power supplies which should be used to maintain vehicle voltage. Due to a software error in the gateway control unit, the optional lightweight battery (lithium-ion battery) - if installed in the vehicle - will not charge using the Porsche Charge-o-mat Pro charger when this is used via the cigarette lighter or 12-volt plug socket in the vehicle. As a result, the lightweight battery can go flat if the vehicle is parked up for a long time. The charging function works, however, if the charger is connected directly to the vehicle battery using the optional clamp adapter. |
| 122-T7Y5Q-12 | 2017-12-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Information: This document updates information previously published in EQ 1105, EQ 1105, and EQ 1401. To provide stable voltage and sufficient current throughout certain service operations, you should connect the vehicle to a battery charger (sometimes referred to as a power supply). However, you may experience ECU programming and coding issues if the chosen battery charger has insufficient power. Many workshop manuals currently advise use of a battery charger with a 40 or 70 A current rating. However, with the increasing current requirements of modern Porsche vehicles, we recommend a battery charger capable of producing a minimum current of 90 A. |

| 122-W4G8S-10 | 2017-10-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Technical Concern: By design, the vehicle gateway allows certain vehicle features to time-out, in stages. This allows the vehicle to sleep. One feature that can time-out is the 12 V DC power point (cigarette lighter) in the center console area. One of the recommended methods of using the battery maintainer is to plug the battery maintainer into this power point. If this power point becomes disabled, it will not allow current flow from the battery maintainer to the vehicle, the vehicle battery will not trickle charge, and the battery maintainer will eventually shut off. |
| 122-M2R2G-10 | 2017-10-15. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Concerns: Engine malfunction (Misfiring at high rpm) Situation: ? Diagnostic path for fault finding in the event of the complaint "Enginemalfunction" ? Required repairmeasures |
