Service bulletins for the 2015 Porsche 911

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

122-F2H5E-052017-09-14. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS. Concerns: Headlights, (central) headlight control unit and LED control unit Information: * In the event of spare parts requirements due to a hardware fault or * when commissioning the headlight control unit/LED control unit using the PIWIS Tester
122-U8M9T-052017-09-14. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE; FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM. Concerns: Fuel-level indicator Information: A customer complains that the fuel-level indicator in the instrument cluster stays at the "Fuel level full" marking even after the vehicle has been driven. As a result of the particular shape and modification of the fuel tank, the fuel level sender cannot differentiate between the normal fuel quantity of 17.2 gallons (65 liters) and the increased fuel quantity of 24 gallons (90 liters) for technical reasons.
122-S3G6A-052017-09-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Concerns: Misfires at high RPM (>7,000 RPM) Information: *Diagnostic path for fault finding in the event of the complaint "Engine misfire" * Repair scopes and required repairmeasures
122-K7S2R-052017-09-14. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:TRANSFER CASE (4-WHEEL DRIVE); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Concerns: Control unit for all-wheel drive system Porsche Traction Management (PTM) Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. The affected vehicles were fitted with a control unit for the all-wheel drive system in which a purging routine for the hydraulic pump drive for the multiplate clutch is not activated due to an error in the control unit software. This can cause wear particles to clog up the hydraulic pump drive over the service life of the vehicle, resulting in higher power consumption for the pump drive. As a result, the all-wheel drive system will be deactivated and the warning message "No all-wheel sys. " Only rear-wh drive" Adapted driving permitted" will be displayed in the instrument cluster.
122-Q3Y2A-052017-09-14. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Concerns: Porsche Communication Management (PCM) 3.1 Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. In the event of faulty transmission of XMdata by the satellite radio operator, there is a possibility that significantly more data than usual will be sent at times. As a result, the amount of data sent can no longer be processed by PCM and cyclical restarts of the PCM system can then occur continuously.
122-M9B2W-052017-09-14. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Concerns: Sealing channel and side panel Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the point at which the sealing channel meets the side panel was not protected sufficiently against corrosion on the affected vehicles. As a result, corrosion can appear at the joint between the sealing channel and side panel over the service life of the vehicle.
122-J3P4D-052017-09-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; STRUCTURE:BODY. Concerns: Front spoiler control mechanism Information: Information The procedure described below applies only to vehicles that are still under warranty: * In the event of complaints about the function of the front spoiler, * if the warning message "Spoiler failure" appears in the instrument cluster, * if the relevant fault codes are entered, and if individual components of the front spoiler air supply system need to be replaced, * the complete front spoiler control mechanism (for right of recourse against the supplier) must be ordered and replaced.
122-U2H7B-082016-10-13. Service bulletin. WHEELS; STRUCTURE:BODY. "OBSERVATIONS HAVE SHOWN THAT THE CHASSIS STILL SHOWS A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF SETTLING BEHAVIOR WITHIN THE FIRST 3,700 MILES (6,000 KM). DURING PERFORMANCE-ORIENTED DRIVING ON A RACE TRACK – PARTICULARLY IF THE VEHICLE IS FREQUENTLY DRIVEN AT ITS PERFORMANCE LIMITS – COMBINED WITH CHASSIS SETUP TOLERANCES, THIS CAN QUICKLY CAUSE THE WHEELS TO COME INTO CONTACT WITH PERIPHERAL COMPONENTS."
66892016-06-22. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES. SUMMARY TO BE PROVIDED ON A FUTURE DATE.
44402016-06-22. Service bulletin. TIRES. SUMMARY TO BE PROVIDED ON A FUTURE DATE.
