Concerns: Vacuum lines for sound symposer Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the vacuum line on the change-over valve for the sound symposer can slip off on the affected vehicles due to relative movements of the engine. As a result, there is no guarantee that the sound symposer and other vacuum-controlled actuators on the engine will function correctly. This causes the warning message "Fault cooling system" to be displayed in the instrument cluster. |
| 122-R5K4T-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY. Concerns: Pressure pipe for lift system on front axle Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the threaded connections on the pressure pipe for the electropneumatic lift system on the front axle were not tightened to the prescribed tightening torque on the affected vehicles. |
| 122-E4E3B-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; ENGINE. Concerns: Water drain valves on air cleaner housing Information: In certain environmental conditions, e.g. during heavy rain, there is a possibility that water can get into the air cleaner housing via the engine compartment lid on the affected vehicles. Depending on howmuch water has leaked in, the water may not be able to drain away quickly enough through the water drain valves provided for this purpose. As a result, there is a possibility that the air cleaner will age prematurely because of the increased wet and dry phases. This can cause reduced filter throughput and the customer may notice reduced engine power as a result. |
| 122-C8L3Z-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. Concerns: Shouldered bolt on lockingmechanism for the convertible top bow Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the shouldered bolt on the lockingmechanism for the convertible top bow does notmeet the required specifications on the affected vehicles. |
| 122-F6S7N-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Concerns: Symbol for the engine warm-up phase in the instrument cluster Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. Due to an error in the PIWIS Tester II software versions 14.600 to 14.900, the symbol for the warm-up phase is no longer activated on themulti-function display after coding the instrument cluster on the 991 GT3. |
| 122-Y2P7D-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE. Concerns: Vacuum line for exhaust flaps Information: The vacuum line for the exhaust flaps can shorten because of the heat from the engine and become detached from the vacuum units for the exhaust flaps over the service life of the vehicle. |
| 122-U8M9T-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE; FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM. Concerns: Fuel-level indicator Information: A customer complains that the fuel-level indicator in the instrument cluster stays at the "Fuel level full" marking even after the vehicle has been driven. As a result of the particular shape and modification of the fuel tank, the fuel level sender cannot differentiate between the normal fuel quantity of 17.2 gallons (65 liters) and the increased fuel quantity of 24 gallons (90 liters) for technical reasons. |
| 122-S3G6A-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Concerns: Misfires at high RPM (>7,000 RPM) Information: *Diagnostic path for fault finding in the event of the complaint "Engine misfire" * Repair scopes and required repairmeasures |
| 122-K7S2R-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:TRANSFER CASE (4-WHEEL DRIVE); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Concerns: Control unit for all-wheel drive system Porsche Traction Management (PTM) Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. The affected vehicles were fitted with a control unit for the all-wheel drive system in which a purging routine for the hydraulic pump drive for the multiplate clutch is not activated due to an error in the control unit software. This can cause wear particles to clog up the hydraulic pump drive over the service life of the vehicle, resulting in higher power consumption for the pump drive. As a result, the all-wheel drive system will be deactivated and the warning message "No all-wheel sys. " Only rear-wh drive" Adapted driving permitted" will be displayed in the instrument cluster. |
| 122-M9B2W-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Concerns: Sealing channel and side panel Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the point at which the sealing channel meets the side panel was not protected sufficiently against corrosion on the affected vehicles. As a result, corrosion can appear at the joint between the sealing channel and side panel over the service life of the vehicle. |
| 122-J3P4D-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; STRUCTURE:BODY. Concerns: Front spoiler control mechanism Information: Information The procedure described below applies only to vehicles that are still under warranty: * In the event of complaints about the function of the front spoiler, * if the warning message "Spoiler failure" appears in the instrument cluster, * if the relevant fault codes are entered, and if individual components of the front spoiler air supply system need to be replaced, * the complete front spoiler control mechanism (for right of recourse against the supplier) must be ordered and replaced. |
| 122-K5C9P-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL. Concerns: Wind deflector Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the wind deflector will not reach its end position when closing the convertible top in the event of unfavourable tolerances on the affected vehicles. As a result, the convertible top cannot be closed completely. To prevent this, the wind deflector on the affected vehicles was greased as an immediate step as part of workshop campaign WC40. In the course of this new campaign, the wind deflector must be replaced with a technically optimised wind deflector as a long-term effective measure. |
| 122-D6U5E-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Concerns: PDK control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. A shift rod movement at a shift gate that was not selected can be detected incorrectly on the affected vehicles due to a software error. As a result, fault code "P1767 - Hydraulic multiplexer fault" can be stored in the fault memory of the PDK control unit and the PDK transmission can switch to the reduced driving programme until the ignition is switched off and on again. |
| 122-G7E5R-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Concerns: PDK transmission Information: There is a possibility of moisture condensing in the vent line of the PDK transmission under certain environmental influences and getting into the inside of the PDK transmission through the ventilation connections. The transmission oil/water emulsion created as a result of this is deposited on the inner contacts of the multiple plug connection for the PDK transmission and causes electric shunt circuits there. If this happens, the PDK transmission can malfunction, e.g. switch to the reduced driving program (limp-home mode). |
| 122-X7H3D-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE.
