Service bulletins for the 1990 Porsche 911
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 122-E7M2M-09 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE-INACTIVE. Information: Old airbag sensor no longer available. Note: During repairs, the faulty airbag sensor will be replaced by a new electronic airbag sensor. The new airbag sensor is the same size as the airbag sensor that is installed as standard but needs an additional power supply (terminal 15) from the fuse box in the luggage compartment. Recommendation: Always replace the component in pairs. |
