20256332025-11-17. Brakes. Issue: On one truck, the reservoir tank for the air brake system is too small. In certain situations, this could cause reduced braking. Canadian regulations require enough air reservoir capacity to ensure the brakes work even with heavy use or when there is a partial loss of the air system. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify the owner by mail and advise them to take your truck to a dealership to replace or add an additional air reservoir tank, as necessary.
20253572025-06-26. Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain trucks, a software problem could cause the stop lamps, low beam headlamps, high beam headlamps, reverse lamps and turn signal lamps not to turn on, or to turn on unexpectedly. This problem could also cause the lift axle(s) to raise or lower on their own. Safety Risk: Lamps that don't work properly could reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Lift axles that move unexpectedly could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to update the vehicle software.
20250362025-01-29. Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain trucks, the exterior light switch could fail. If this happens, the hazard lights and the backlight for the instrument cluster display may not work. As a result, warnings, tell-tales and gauges may not display properly. Safety Risk: Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display properly could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, hazard lamps that don't work could make the vehicle less visible and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to update the vehicle electronic control unit software.
