| 10V634000 | 2010-12-13. POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY. PACCAR IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2007-2008 KENWORTH AND PETERBILT VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM FEBRUARY 2, 2006 THROUGH APRIL 30, 2007. THE BEARING SURFACES OF THE EXTENDED LUBE UNIVERSAL JOINT THAT ATTACHES THE INTER-AXLE DRIVELINE TO THE DRIVE AXLE MAY BECOME PREMATURELY WORN DUE TO BREAKDOWN OF LUBRICATION AND/OR EXCESSIVE HEAT. PREMATURELY WORN BEARING SURFACES MAY RESULT IN THE U-JOINT BECOMING LOOSE AND/OR BINDING. THIS CONDITION MAY RESULT IN UNIVERSAL JOINT FAILURE, ALLOWING THE INTER-AXLE DRIVELINE TO DETACH FROM THE AXLE. Built 2006-02-02 to 2007-04-30. |

INADEQUATE STIFFNESS OF THE DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER (DPF) BRACKET COULD RESULT IN SEPARATION OF THE DPF FROM THE CHASSIS. |
| 08V104000 | 2008-03-10. TRAILER HITCHES. PACCAR IS RECALLING 318 MY 2007-2009 KENWORTH T800, W900, AND PETERBILT 357, 365, 367, 378, 379, 384, 385, 386,388, AND 389 TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH PREMIER TRAILER HITCH ASSEMBLIES. THE PINTLE HITCH ASSEMBLIES MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED IN A MANNER RESULTING IN A REDUCTION OF FATIGUE STRENGTH OF THE PIVOT PINS. Built 2006-06-01 to 2008-01-31. |
| 07V153000 | 2007-04-10. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY. ON CERTAIN TRUCKS, IF THE IGNITION SWITCH IS TURNED ON PRIOR TO INITIAL START UP IN THE MANUFACTURING PLANT OR DURING THE FILTER REPLACEMENT IN THE FIELD, A SMALL FLAME WILL IGNITE WHEN THE FUEL IS ADDED TO PRIME THE SYSTEM. Built 2007-01-04 to 2007-02-20. |
| 07V132000 | 2007-03-22. POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY. ON CERTAIN TRUCKS, THE AXLE HOUSINGS MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED WITH STEEL THAT WAS OUT OF SPECIFICATION WHICH COULD RESULT IN A FATIGUE FAILURE OVER TIME. Built 2006-11-27 to 2007-02-28. |
| 06V490000 | 2006-12-21. SUSPENSION. ON SOME PETERBILT TRUCKS, CERTAIN PARTS USED IN THE AIR SUSPENSIONS HAVE A HIGH COPPER CONTENT CAUSING PREMATURE FAILURE. Built 2006-08-16 to 2006-11-22. |
| 2015095 | 2015-03-05. Label. Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 120 - Tire Selection and Rims. The tire information label may indicate incorrect tire pressure, understated by 5 PSI, or a tire/rim/inflation pressure combination for which the maximum GAWR is slightly below the GAWR of the vehicle. Underinflated tires may not be capable of supporting the maximum load as reflected by the GAWR and GVWR specified on the certification label, which could cause tire failure resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Manufacturer will mail new tire and rims certification label. |

| 2010441 | 2010-12-13. Powertrain. On certain vehicles, the bearing surfaces of the extended lube universal joint that attaches the inter-axle driveline to the drive axle may become prematurely worn due to breakdown of the lubrification and/or excessive heat. Prematurely worn bearing surfaces may result in the u-joint becoming loose and/or binding. If undetected, the condition may result in universal joint failure, allowing the inter-axle driveline to detach from the axle, which may cause the vehicle to become disabled in the roadway. Lost propulsion, in conjunction with traffic, road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash. In addition a driveline component separating from the vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the interaxle driveline universal joint. |
| 2009013 | 2009-01-16. Emissions. On certain vehicles, the Aftertreatment Regeneration Device (ARD) may develop a hole allowing heat and flame to escape during a regeneration of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). This condition could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will affect repairs. |
| 2008349 | 2008-09-24. Other. On certain trucks, the inadequate stiffness of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) bracket could result in the separation of the DPF from the chassis, which could result in personal injuries or death to motorists or bystanders. Correction: Caterpillar dealers will replace bracket as necessary. |
| 2007380 | 2007-11-29. Fuel System. On certain vehicles equipped with Caterpillar C7 and C9 diesel engines, fuel pump failure can dilute the engine oil with fuel and cause the turbocharger to fail, leading to a loss of throttle control and excessive smoke. Either condition could result in a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Authorized Caterpillar dealers will replace the fuel pump. |
| 2007145 | 2007-05-08. Fuel System. On certain trucks, when the ignition key is in the 'ON' position, the pre-heater, located in the fuel filter base, is energized. If this pre-heater is energized while maintenance is being performed on the fuel filter, diesel fuel could ignite within the filter housing. A fire within the fuel filter housing may spread possibly resulting in property damage or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the fuel heater assembly. |
| 2007090 | 2007-03-20. Other. On certain trucks, the axle housing may have been manufactured with steel that was out of specification (9.5mm thick instead of 11mm thick), which could result in a fatigue failure over time. If failure occurs, the axle may lock-up or the end of the axle could come off, which may result in a vehicle crash with injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the axles. |
| 2006369 | 2006-12-21. Suspension. On certain trucks, components used to attach the air suspension to the axle may contain elevated amounts of copper. The elevated copper content could result in component failure, which could cause erratic vehicle handling and a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace any suspect part with an updated version made with the correct metallurgical composition. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
