AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT FLASHING INDICATING SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC MODE IF YOU CONFIRM The air bag warning light is flashing slowly (repeating 2 seconds ON, 2 seconds OFF). NOTE: If this should occur, the Air Bag Diagnosis Sensor Unit is in Diagnostic Mode and needs to be returned to User Mode. ACTION 1. Use CONSULT-III plus to check for Air Bag DTCs and perform repairs as needed. 2. Return the Air Bag Diagnosis Sensor Unit to User Mode.

MIL ON WITH DTC P0776, P1715 AND MAY HAVE HESITATION AND/OR LACK OF POWER This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). IF YOU CONFIRM The MIL is ON with DTC P0776 (PC SOLENOID B ? Pressure Control Solenoid ?B? Performance/Stuck OFF) stored. NOTE: - If P0744, P0746, P0841, P0965, P2813, or P17F0 are stored this bulletin does not apply. Refer to ASIST for diagnostic assistance. - With this incident, if it should occur, P1715 (INPUT SPEED SENSOR) may be stored with DTC P0776. The vehicle may also hesitate and/or have reduced power. ACTION 1. Refer to the Repair Flow Chart on page 2 for mechanical CVT repair. 2. If needed, reprogram the TCM. - Refer to step 30 in the TCM Reprogram section (page 21) of the SERVICE PROCEDURE to confirm if reprogramming is needed. 3. Perform Additional Service (page 19).

The procedure in this bulletin is different than those that are currently in the Electronic Service Manuals (ESMs), which will be updated with this information at a later date.

NTB18-0592018-10-01. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. SENTRA, VERSA SEDAN, AND VERSA NOTE; CVT FLUID LEAK SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION CVT related fluid leaks may be diagnosed incorrectly upon initial inspection causing incorrect parts replacement such as oil pan gaskets, axle seals, etc. To help reduce/eliminate the possible return of an applied vehicle, first check for leakage around the CVT fluid charging pipe. When leakage is determined to be coming from the base of the CVT fluid charging pipe, remove it to inspect, and if necessary, replace the O-ring. If needed, CVT leak inspection dye may be used to determine the source of the leak. - Refer to NTB09-140. See example photos on pages 2 and 3.

SERVICE INFORMATION Special tool CVT8 Oil Level Quick Check Gauge (J-51155) is now available. Each dealer has been shipped one of these tools. Additional tools can be obtained from Tech?Mate at 1-800-662-2001. Refer to the SERVICE PROCEDURE on the next page to determine how to perform a CVT fluid quick level check.

ECM Reprogram Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with SR or Nismo trim level packages. ***** Campaign Summary***** Nissan has reclassified the previously announced quality action (P8307) for new vehicle inventory as a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign to update the Engine Control Module (ECM) software to prevent permanent storage of a DTC as a result of a Multiway Control Valve (MCV) malfunction on 853 specific 2018 Nissan Sentra (B17) SR and NISMO vehicles equipped with the MR16DDT engine. If a MCV malfunction occurred and was repaired, the current ECM logic will allow a technician to reset the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL), but the DTC will remain stored in ECM memory. Resulting in Inspection/Maintenance (I/M; a.k.a. smog test) failure when a DTC check is performed at an inspection station. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History ? Open Campaigns I.D. R1805. 2. Dealers are requested to repair any affected vehicles in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. - New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). - Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information 3. Dealers should use NTB18-044 to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4. Once repaired, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.

VOLUNTARY EMISSIONS SERVICE CAMPAIGN 2018 SENTRA SR AND NISMO; ECM REPROGRAMMING This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with SR or Nismo trim level packages. INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting this voluntary emissions service campaign on certain specific model year 2018 Sentra Turbo SR and Sentra NISMO vehicles. The Engine Control Module (ECM) will be reprogrammed so that in the event of an engine coolant bypass (Multiway coolant flow Control Valve or MCV) diagnostic issue that properly illuminates a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL), the software can also accurately determine when the issue has been corrected. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number R1805 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourists) owners, and vehicles in a dealer?s inventory.
