EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 2016-2019 SENTRA; ENGINE NO CRANK/NO START IF YOU CONFIRM The engine will not crank when pressing the push-button ignition switch and applying the brake pedal. • ACCESSORY and IGNITION ON modes can be turned on and off with the no start condition present. • The stop lamps will be inoperative with the no-start condition present. ACTION Install a new brake lamp switch and install a rubber grommet with the parts listed in PARTS INFORMATION on the last page of this bulletin.

ECM Reprogram Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with SR or Nismo trim level packages. ***** Campaign Summary***** Nissan has reclassified the previously announced quality action (P8307) for new vehicle inventory as a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign to update the Engine Control Module (ECM) software to prevent permanent storage of a DTC as a result of a Multiway Control Valve (MCV) malfunction on 853 specific 2018 Nissan Sentra (B17) SR and NISMO vehicles equipped with the MR16DDT engine. If a MCV malfunction occurred and was repaired, the current ECM logic will allow a technician to reset the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL), but the DTC will remain stored in ECM memory. Resulting in Inspection/Maintenance (I/M; a.k.a. smog test) failure when a DTC check is performed at an inspection station. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History ? Open Campaigns I.D. R1805. 2. Dealers are requested to repair any affected vehicles in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. - New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). - Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information 3. Dealers should use NTB18-044 to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4. Once repaired, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.

NTB18-0442018-07-23. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL. VOLUNTARY EMISSIONS SERVICE CAMPAIGN 2018 SENTRA SR AND NISMO; ECM REPROGRAMMING This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with SR or Nismo trim level packages. INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting this voluntary emissions service campaign on certain specific model year 2018 Sentra Turbo SR and Sentra NISMO vehicles. The Engine Control Module (ECM) will be reprogrammed so that in the event of an engine coolant bypass (Multiway coolant flow Control Valve or MCV) diagnostic issue that properly illuminates a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL), the software can also accurately determine when the issue has been corrected. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number R1805 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourists) owners, and vehicles in a dealer?s inventory.
