Service bulletins for the 2015 Nissan 370Z

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NTB16-0242016-06-22. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:DISC:CALIPER; SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:DISC:CALIPER. 370Z; 4-PISTON FRONT CALIPER BRAKE JUDDER “Brake Judder” during braking, especially when braking at highway speeds. Symptoms of “brake judder”: • steering wheel shake • body vibration • brake pedal pulsation IMPORTANT NOTES:  If any symptom above occurs when cruising or coasting (not braking), it is not “Brake Judder” and may be tire/wheel related. Refer to ASIST for further diagnostic assistance.  DO NOT CONFUSE “Brake Judder” with the rapid consistent-speed pedal pulsation that may be felt and only occurs when ABS is activated during hard braking or on slippery road surfaces. In contrast, the pedal pulsation of “Brake Judder” may occur with light to moderate braking experienced during normal driving conditions, and the pulsation rate will vary (faster or slower) with vehicle speed.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
