| 2020216 | 2020-05-15. Structure. Issue: On certain vehicles, road salt can corrode the front cross-member (subframe). As a result, a lower control arm could eventually detach from the cross-member. This could cause a loss of vehicle control. Safety Risk: A loss of control can create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mitsubishi will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the front cross-member (subframe). If no significant corrosion is found, the dealer will spray a sealing and anti-corrosion coating both inside and on the cross-member. If significant corrosion is found, the dealer will replace the cross-member. |

| 2017198 | 2017-04-07. Structure. On certain vehicles, the dimensions of some components in certain door latch mechanisms may be out of specification and may not securely latch in high-temperature conditions. If this occurs and a door mechanism does not securely latch, the door could inadvertently open while the vehicle is in motion, which could increase the risk of injury to a vehicle occupant seated next to the door, or result in damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the affected door latches with countermeasure units. |
| 2016591 | 2016-11-24. Structure. On certain vehicles, the outer tubes of the rear liftgate support struts may have had insufficient anti-corrosion treatment applied during manufacturing. As a result, the outer tube could corrode due to salt and water penetration. If this were to occur, the liftgate support strut could rapidly lose pressure, which would allow the liftgate to drop suddenly, placing anyone beneath or near the gate at risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the rear liftgate support struts with updated ones. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
