16V4580002016-06-23. SUSPENSION:FRONT:CONTROL ARM:LOWER ARM. Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain model year 2002-2007 Lancer, 2004 Lancer Wagon, 2003-2006 Lancer Evolution, 2003-2006 Outlander and 2007-2013 Outlander V-6 vehicles originally sold in, or ever registered in, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. In the affected vehicles, the front lower control arms may detach due to the front cross member corroding from salt water exposure such as from road salt use. Built 2002-08-20 to 2006-06-01.
04V4280002004-09-01. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS. CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 208, 'OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION.' THE BILINGUAL ENGLISH/SPANISH REMOVABLE AIR BAG WARNING LABELS AFFIXED TO THE DASH AND TO THE SUNVISOR DO NOT MEET THE SIZE REQUIREMENTS OF THE STANDARD. Built 2002-08-01 to 2004-06-30.
04V1970002004-04-26. TRAILER HITCHES. CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN EQUIPPED WITH DEALER-INSTALLED TRAILER HITCH WIRING HARNESS AND CONTROL MODULE. THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE CAN OVERHEAT.
04V0670002004-02-11. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY AND PASSENGER VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 225, "CHILD RESTRAINT ANCHORAGE SYSTEMS." THE OWNER'S MANUAL DOES NOT CONTAIN A STEP-BY-STEP DESCRIPTION FOR HEADREST ADJUSTMENT WHEN INSTALLING A CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM (CRS) TETHER STRAP.
03V1940002003-05-20. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:INTERIOR/UNDER DASH. ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, WATER COULD ENTER THE FRONT FLOORBOARD AREA FROM OPENINGS IN THE SIDE SILL OR UPPER DASH AREA. THIS WATER COULD COLLECT UNDER THE SEAT AND CAUSE ELECTRICAL CORROSION TO OCCUR IN THE HARNESS CONNECTORS THAT CONTAIN THE WIRING FOR THE SEAT BELT PRE-TENSIONER, SIDE AIR BAG IMPACT SENSOR, AND STOP LAMPS. Built 2002-08-20 to 2003-04-11.
03V0280002003-01-30. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL. ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, DURING EXTREMELY LOW TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS, ICE CAN BUILD UP INSIDE THE ENGINE THROTTLE VALVE. THIS ICE BUILD-UP COULD CAUSE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO STICK OR NOT TO RETURN TO IDLE AFTER ACCELERATING. Built 2002-08-20 to 2003-01-30.
Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
20163172016-06-21. Structure. On certain vehicles, road salt can corrode the front crossmember assembly, which may ultimately lead to separation of the control arm at the mounting point. This would allow the wheel to rotate off its designed axis, and could result in a loss of vehicle control and a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect the crossmember and apply an anti-corrosion treatment or replace the assembly, as required.
20040442004-02-04. Other. On certain vehicles, the owner's manual does not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 210. The manual does not contain language on the adjustment of the head restraints when using the user-ready tether anchorages. Improper placement of the tether strap could result in insufficient restraint of the child restraint system. Correction: A sticker containing step-by-step instructions for handling the head restraint when installing tether straps as well as instructions on where to affix the sticker in the owner's manual will be mailed to owners.
20031392003-05-23. Electrical. On certain vehicles, water may enter the front floorboard area from openings in the side sill or upper dash area. This water may collect under the seat and cause electrical corrosion to occur in the harness connectors that contain the wiring for the seatbelt pre-tensioner, lateral airbag impact sensor and stop lamps causing inoperability or malfunction of these systems. Correction: Dealer will seal any openings in the side sills and dash panel and replace corroded floor harness.
20030232003-01-31. Other. On certain vehicles, in extremely low temperatures, ice can build up inside the engine throttle valve and cause the accelerator pedal to stick or not to return to idle after accelerating. Correction: Dealer will modify the engine control computer software.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
