By component
| 18V047000 | 2018-01-11. EQUIPMENT. Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc. (MFTA) is recalling certain 2004-2017 FE84D, FE85D, FEC52, FEC72, FEC92, FGB72, FK61F and FM657 trucks. These trucks are equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers that may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. For a full list of the affected fire extinguisher models visit: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17E062-5427.pdf Built 2003-04-03 to 2017-03-03. |

| 12V545000 | 2012-11-23. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS. Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America (MFTA) is recalling certain model year 2005-2007 FE83D, FE84D, FE85D, and FG84D trucks; manufactured from May 27, 2004, through May 14, 2007. The fuel pipes may crack due to an improper manufacturing process. Additionally, the fuel pipe flare nuts may have been insufficiently tightened. Built 2004-05-27 to 2007-04-27. |
| 09V449000 | 2009-11-19. EQUIPMENT. MITSUBISHI FUSO IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2005 THROUGH 2010 FE83D, FE84D, FE85D AND FG84D VEHICLES. THE WEATHER RESISTANCE PROPERTIES OF THE AIR INTAKE DUCT RUBBER CUSHIONS IS INSUFFICIENT. DURING NORMAL VEHICLE OPERATION, THE RUBBER CUSHIONS DETERIORATE AND CRACK, CAUSING ABNORMAL NOISE. Built 2004-05-27 to 2009-09-30. |
| 07V229000 | 2007-06-04. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS. ON CERTAIN MEDIUM DUTY TRUCKS, THE BRAKE VACUUM HOSE MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED WITH INSUFFICIENT WALL THICKNESS ALLOWING THE HOSE TO COLLAPSE DURING NORMAL VEHICLE OPERATION. Built 2004-05-27 to 2005-08-17. |
| 07V138000 | 2007-03-26. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. ON CERTAIN TRUCKS, THE CYLINDER HEAD IDLER GEAR BUSHING MAY HAVE BEEN IMPROPERLY MACHINED, CAUSING EXCESSIVE STRESS ON THE CYLINDER HEAD IDLER GEAR SHAFT. CONTINUED OPERATING IN THIS CONDITION COULD CAUSE THE IDLER GEAR SHAFT FLANGE TO BREAK AND GENERATE ABNORMAL ENGINE NOISE OR ENGINE OIL LEAKS. Built 2004-05-27 to 2005-11-05. |
| 06V477000 | 2006-12-20. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:SUPPLY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS. ON CERTAIN TRUCKS, THE BRAKE VACUUM HOSE MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED WITH INSUFFICIENT WALL THICKNESS, ALLOWING THE HOSE TO COLLAPSE DURING NORMAL VEHICLE OPERATION. Built 2005-07-21 to 2006-09-04. |
| 05V410000 | 2005-09-15. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL. ON CERTAIN TRUCKS, THE DOOR WIRING HARNESS INTERFERES WITH THE TURN SIGNAL AND HAZARD LAMP WIRING HARNESS DUE TO IMPROPER ROUTING. Built 2004-05-27 to 2005-06-13. |
| 2012392 | 2012-11-21. Fuel System. On certain trucks, one or more fuel pipes may crack due to an improper pipe manufacturing process. In addition, the fuel pipe flare nuts may have been insufficiently tightened. Repeated normal high fuel injection pressure application may crack the pipe, causing a fuel leak. Leaking fuel could come in contact with high temperature components and catch fire, causing possible injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace high pressure fuel pipes showing evidence of improper manufacture. |
|---|---|
| 2009325 | 2009-11-16. Other. On certain trucks, the rubber cushions - which fasten the air intake duct to the rear of the cab - may fail. This could allow the air intake duct to detach during vehicle operation. An errant intake duct could strike a vehicle, property, or a bystander, which could result in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the air intake duct rubber cushions. |
| 2007174 | 2007-06-04. Brakes. On certain vehicles, the brake vacuum hose may have been manufactured with insufficient wall thickness, allowing the hose to collapse during normal vehicle operation. If this happens, brake power assist could become inoperable, leading to increased vehicle stopping distance. Note: on the FE83D, FE84D and FG84D models, the hose provides vacuum to the brake booster. On the FE85D, the hose provides vacuum to the exhaust brake system. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the vacuum hose. |
| 2007097 | 2007-03-22. Engine. On certain trucks, the cylinder head idler gear bushing may have been improperly machined, causing excessive stress on the cylinder head idler gear shaft. Continued operation in this condition could cause the idler gear shaft flange to break and generate abnormal engine noise and/or engine oil leaks. In the worst case, the engine could stall and would not restart. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the idler gear and bushing assembly. |
| 2006359 | 2006-12-18. Brakes. On certain vehicles, the brake vacuum hose may have been manufactured with insufficient wall thickness, allowing the hose to collapse during normal vehicle operation. If this happens, brake power assist could become inoperative, leading to increased vehicle stopping distance. Note: on the FE84D and FG84D models, the hose provides vacuum to the brake booster. On the FE85D, the hose provides vacuum to the exhaust brake system. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the vacuum hose. |
| 2005269 | 2005-09-19. Electrical. On certain vehicles, the door wiring harness interferes with the turn signal and hazard lamp wiring harness due to improper routing. Repeated opening and closing of the doors could break the turn signal and hazard lamp wiring harness, causing the lamps to become inoperative. Correction: Dealers will add protective tubing at the door wiring harness grommet, install a protective cap on the turn signal and hazard lamp connector and repair any wiring harness damage. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
