20232812023-05-11. Electrical. Issue: On certain vehicles, the footwell module (FRM) may become contaminated by a mixture of salt and moisture inside the vehicle. Over time, this can lead to corrosion that could cause a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off. Corrective actions: BMW will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development. BMW advises that you should park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed.
20185442018-10-03. Electrical. On certain vehicles, the footwell module (FRM3) may become contaminated by a mixture of salt and moisture which could lead to corrosion over time. This could cause a short circuit, resulting in overheating of the module that could lead to a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the footwell module, and replace if necessary. A protective film will be also installed over the module. Note: Owners are advised to park the vehicle outdoors until the recall repairs have been completed.
20120082012-01-11. Electrical. On certain vehicles, the auxiliary water pump (which cools the turbocharger after the engine is turned OFF) can overheat and fail. This could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the auxiliary water pump. Note: Owners are advised to park the vehicle outdoors until the remedy is applied.
20103822010-11-03. Label. On certain vehicles, the "B" pillar National Safety Mark label is distorted as a result of a printing error. This situation does not pose a risk to highway safety. Correction: Due to the inconsequential nature of this non-compliance, no action will be taken.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
