A SOFTWARE CALIBRATION NUMBER (SCN) CODING RECEIVED ON THE AFFECTED VEHICLES DURING A RECENT WORKSHOP VISIT WAS INCORRECT. DEPENDING ON THE MODEL YEAR AND MODEL AFFECTED, THE RESULTS OF AN INCORRECT SCN CODING CAN AFFECT A NUMBER OF VEHICLE SAFETY AND EMISSION FUNCTIONS INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF FUNCTIONS: (1) THE FUEL GAUGE READINGS MAY BE INCORRECT; (2) A STUCK FUEL-LEVEL SENSOR MAY NOT BE DISPLAYED IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER; (3) THE OBD SYSTEM MAY CAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE INCORRECTLY; AND, (4) THE SPEEDOMETER MAY BE OUT OF TOLERANCE. 08V0060002008-01-09. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:DIESEL. ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH DIESEL ENGINES, THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR COULD FAIL DUE TO SEPARATION OF BOND WIRES FROM THE LEAD FRAME IN THE SENSOR. THIS RESULTS IN AN INTERRUPTION IN THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION IN THE CHIP HOUSING OF THE SENSOR. Built 2006-05-01 to 2007-10-31.
06V1010002006-04-03. SEAT BELTS: REAR/OTHER:BUCKLE ASSEMBLY. 20222372022-05-06. Brakes. Issue: On certain vehicles, corrosion could cause the brake booster to fail. If this happens, there may be an increase in brake pedal effort and increase the distance needed to stop the vehicle. In rare cases of severe corrosion, the brake booster could separate completely and cause a loss of brakes. Safety Risk: A loss of brakes can increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz advises you to stop driving your vehicle immediately. The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to contact a local Mercedes-Benz dealership to arrange for towing and an inspection. The dealer will remove the rubber brake booster sleeve and determine whether the vehicle is safe to drive or if it can't be driven and a parts replacement is necessary. Also, depending on the results of the inspection, you may need to return within two years for a re-inspection.
20060762006-04-10. Seats And Restraints. On certain vehicles, the nuts used to anchor seat belt buckles of the second row seat may not have been manufactured correctly. The screw threads in the nuts may be missing. The seat belt buckles could separate from the seat assembly during a vehicle crash. If a separation occurred in a crash, seat occupants may not be properly restrained, increasing the risk of personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace second row seats.
20060702006-03-29. Electrical. On certain vehicles, the starter wiring harness may have been routed incorrectly and could chafe. Over time, such chafing could wear through the protective sleeve and cause an electrical short. This condition, if not addressed, may cause a vehicle fire, possibly resulting in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and reroute the starter wiring harness.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
