| 2018724 | 2018-12-20. Steering. On certain vehicles originally sold or currently registered in areas of heavy road salt usage during winter months (Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador), the bolts that attach the electric power steering assist motor to the steering gear housing may corrode and break. This could cause a loss of power steering assist. The resulting increase in steering effort could create the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the mounting bolts and apply a corrosion protection coating to the gear housing and bolts. If the bolts bolt cannot be removed, a replacement steering gear will be installed. |

| 2017209 | 2017-04-11. Steering. On certain vehicles, the steering coupling bolt connection may have been incorrectly torqued. The vibrations during vehicle operation could allow the nut to loosen and come off the retaining bolt. This could lead to a separation of the steering coupling from the steering shaft causing the vehicle to lose the ability to steer which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and torque the steering coupling bolt, as necessary. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
