By component
| 04V234000 | 2004-05-19. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:CABLES. ON CERTAIN MINIVANS EQUIPPED WITH CRUISE CONTROL, THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTUATOR CABLE MAY BE BROKEN DUE TO INSUFFICIENT STRENGTH (GROUP 1). ALSO INCLUDED ARE CERTAIN 2000-2001 MINIVANS EQUIPPED WITH CRUISE CONTROL BUILT BETWEEN MARCH 31, 1999 AND MARCH 31, 2001, THAT HAVE HAD THE CRUISE CONTROL REPAIRED AND POSSIBLY HAD A DEFECTIVE CABLE INSTALLED DURING THAT REPAIR (GROUP 2). Built 2001-04-01 to 2001-11-15. |
|---|---|
| 03V206000 | 2003-06-05. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:FOG LIGHTS. ON CERTAIN MINI VANS AND PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE SOCKET HOLDER IN THE FOG LIGHTS IS INSTALLED IN THE LAMP CASING USING PRESSURE. DURING OPERATION OF THE FOG LIGHT, THE HEAT FROM THE BULB CAN EXPAND THE SOCKET HOLDER. THE EXPANSION CAN FORCE THE SOCKET HOLDER REARWARD. AFTER REPEATEDLY BEING SUBJECT TO THIS EXPANSION, IF THE FOG LIGHT IS ALSO SUBJECTED TO VIBRATION DURING VEHICLE OPERATION, THE SOCKET HOLDER WITH THE BULB HOLDER AND THE WIRING HARNESS MAY SEPARATE FROM THE FOG LIGHT CASING. Built 2001-11-26 to 2003-02-28. |
| 03V053000 | 2003-02-13. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:FOG LIGHTS. ON CERTAIN MINI VANS EQUIPPED WITH FRONT FOG LIGHTS,THE FOG LIGHT BULB SOCKET MAY HAVE BEEN INSTALLED IMPROPERLY. Built 2001-11-12 to 2003-01-21. |
| 02V078000 | 2002-03-20. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS. CERTAIN MINI VANS FAIL TO COMPLY TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 120, "TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES OTHER THAN PASSENGER CARS." AN INCORRECT GROSS AXLE WEIGHT RATING (GAWR) WAS INDICATED ON THE CERTIFICATION LABEL. Built 2001-11-26 to 2002-02-20. |
| 2006035 | 2006-02-10. Engine. Certain vehicles previously updated following an emission recall concerning the PCV hose may experience throttle icing during cold weather operation. As a result of misrouting of the PCV hose during the emission recall, moisture build-up inside the hose could freeze while the vehicle is parked. If the vehicle is then driven at constant highway speeds in extremely cold temperatures (-30 degrees Celsius or colder), the moisture in the blow-by gases may freeze in the throttle valve area. Under these conditions, even if the accelerator pedal is released while driving, engine speed may not decrease. Unwanted acceleration could result in a vehicle crash without prior warning. Correction: Dealers will inspect the previously replaced PCV hose for proper routing and reroute if necessary. |
|---|---|
| 2005082 | 2005-03-30. Other. On certain vehicles, the liftgate stay dampers and stud bolts may rust and stick together, causing the stud bolds to break off. In the worst case, this condition may allow the liftgate to suddenly drop during opening or closing, injuring the operator. Correction: Dealers will replace the left and right dampers and stud bolts. |
| 2004183 | 2004-06-02. Engine. On certain vehicles, the cruise control actuator cable may be broken due to insufficient strength. Also included are certain 2000-2001 minivans built between March 31, 1999 and March 31, 2001, that have had the cruise control repaired and possibly had a defective cable installed during that repair. It is possible that the broken actuator cable may be out of position and could interfere with the operation of the accelerator cable, preventing a decrease in engine speed while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the actuator cable. |
| 2003178 | 2003-07-29. Airbag. On certain vehicle, the airbag warning labels on the sun visors are English only. This does not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 208. Correction: Mazda will mail owners corrected replacement labels and installation instructions. |
| 2003047 | 2003-02-25. Electrical. On certain vehicles, the front fog light bulb socket was installed improperly. If the vehicle continues to operate with this condition, the bulb socket and the wiring harness may separate from the fog light housing as a result of exposure to vehicle vibration. Should this occur, the bulb socket and the harness can drop inside the bumper and in the worst case, the heat generated can cause the bumper to burn. Correction: Dealer will re-install the bulb socket properly. |
| 2002047 | 2002-03-13. Label. Certain mini vans fail to comply to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 120, "tire selection and rims for motor vehicles other than passenger cars." an incorrect gross axle weight rating (GAWR) was indicated on the certification label. Correction: Owners will be mailed accurate certification labels and inserts for the owner's manual. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
