| 15-003-17-3284b | 2017-10-21. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HAZARD FLASHING WARNING LIGHTS; LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING. Some customers may notice that the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and High Beam Control (HBC) (amber) warning lights are on when they start driving around dusk or dawn under low temperatures. At that time, the windshield is clear but the lens of the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) is foggy. The FSC may not function properly under the following conditions: ? Foggy windshield ? Foggy FSC lens ? Heavy rain, dense fog, snow and direct sun light ? No or poor lane markings. When the FSC control system detects the foggy lens of the camera, the system deactivates LDWS and HBC functions. |
| 07-007-17-3384 | 2017-10-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some customers may complain about poor heater performance even after the engine reaches normal operating temperature. This may be caused by a clogged heater unit. For Mazda6 and CX-5, the check engine light may illuminate with the DTC P011A:00 stored at the same time. P011A:00 ECT sensor No.1/No.2 performance problem. NOTE: Refer to TSB 01-015/15 if the customer is using a block heater at temperatures below freezing. |
| 01-008-17-3376 | 2017-10-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. This is caused by a drop in engine oil pressure due to a piece of foreign object stuck on the oil pump pressure relief valve or oil control valve (OCV). The temporary entry of the foreign object triggers a check engine light on, but rough idle will not be produced until a later time. |
| 09-017-17-3347b | 2017-10-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. All Mazda Connect vehicles in new car inventory must be updated to this software version listed below in this TSB as part of the New Car Ready Step 3 process. P0201:00 : Fuel injector circuit/open cylinder No.1 P0202:00 : Fuel injector circuit/open cylinder No.2 P0203:00 : Fuel injector circuit/open cylinder No.3 P0204:00 : Fuel injector circuit/open cylinder No.4 This concern may be caused by an internal failure of the PCM (DENSO produced only). To correct the concern, the PCM internal failure has been eliminated. |
| 09-024-17-3350 | 2017-10-21. Service bulletin. SEATS. Some vehicles (without power seats) may exhibit a driver seat that gradually moves down by itself. This concern may be caused when a load, which is applied to the seat during braking, exceeds a certain level that could impact the retaining mechanism of the seat lifter causing the seat to gradually move downward. To eliminate this concern, the play in the lift mechanism gears has been reduced. |

Upper front strut bearing (A) damage. (CX-5 and Mazda6)? Squeak type noise between the front strut bearing and coil spring. (CX-3, CX-5 and Mazda6)? The bump stopper (C) may be contacting the strut bearing when the front shock absorber is compressed, causing a popping noise. (Mazda6 only)? When dealing with customer complaints of excessive condensation and/or water within the headlamp unit, first determine if all the bulb sockets (including O-ring), seals and covers are present and correctly installed. In most cases you will find that the Bulb Seal No. 1 (A) or HID Bulb Seal No. 1 (B) and Bulb Seal No. 2 (C) socket covers have not been correctly installed or are missing due to improper prior repairs (i.e., customer replacing the headlamp bulbs or body shop not transferring them when replacing the headlamp unit(s) due to a collision). Any damage caused by missing socket covers, HID module seal (D), or missing bumper brackets (E) is not covered by warranty policy. |
| 09-035-17-3080 | 2017-10-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. In accordance with Federal regulations, follow the procedure listed below when replacing a speedometer. NOTE: Tampering with a motor vehicle odometer is strictly prohibited by Federal, and State laws. It is the dealer?s responsibility to comply with Federal, State, and local laws concerning odometerand related documentation requirements when providing a repair or replacement. Mazda vehicles are manufactured with tamper-proof speedometers. When a speedometer is replaced, the new speedometer will read zero (0) miles. This procedure is extremely important to accurately represent actual vehicle mileage. Prior to speedometer removal, complete the information required on the ?SpeedometerReplacement Label?.Labels can only be ordered through Mazda eStore. In an effort to achieve a higher level of Customer Experience and retain the value of Mazda?s vehicles, MNAO Warranty Operations is allowing all Mazda dealers to utilize a third party, SPECMO Enterprises, Inc., for Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) odometer setting service. With the use of SPECMO?s services, a Mazda dealer can get the odometer setting updated to reflect the correct mileage at the time of replacement for both warranty and customer pay repairs, therefore resulting in a higher level of customer satisfaction. Since odometer setting service is not part of the warranty repair, it is not warrantable nor required, but optional. However, Mazda Warranty policy provides after- warranty assistance (AWA) or DSA that can be utilized to cover this service expense. |
