| 01-018-18-3529 | 2018-10-09. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Some vehicles may exhibit oil residue on the engine front cover from seepage around the joint portion (A) between the cylinder block and head. It becomes very noticable with dust adhesion. In some cases, the area of oil residue extends down to around the joint portion (B) between the engine front cover and the oil pan. This may be caused by oil escaping from a fine clearance created at the sealant applied to joint (A) between the cylinder block (B) and head (C) when the engine was pressurized during leak testing on the engine assembly line. |

| 01-016-18-3522 | 2018-10-09. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM. On some vehicles, a sulfur smell or 'rotten egg' odor may be noticed coming from the exhaust system. The odor is usually noticed after a cold start, fast idle, extended periods of idling and full throttle acceleration. Sulfur smell is not an indication of an engine concern and will not cause reduced driveability or durability of the engine or any of its emission components. The sulfur smell or 'rotten egg' odor is caused by high amounts of sulfur in the gasoline being used in the vehicle. Sulfur is normally eliminated during the refining process, but the EPA regulation of sulfur in gasoline differs from state to state. Vehicles using fuel containing high amounts of sulfur will most likely emit sulfur smell from the exhaust system. When high sulfur fuel is burned, there is a chemical reaction in the catalytic converter causing the sulfur to oxidize. As the vehicle is driven, the oxidizing reaction odor in the converter will decrease with mileage and age. |
| MT-008-18 | 2018-10-09. Service bulletin. ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Some customers may complain about: Intermittent engine no start, Instrument cluster red security indicator light ON, Engine Start/Start Button Amber indicator, light flashing, Battery discharge, Electrical relay buzzing noise. This may be caused by: A key in a purse near a cell phone. The cell phone radio waves may interrupt the immobilizer system. An aftermarket cell phone charger. The charger may produce electrical noise that interrupts the immobilizer system. An aftermarket GPS tracker. Some aftermarket devices that are wired to the vehicles?s wiring harness may create unusual electrical symptoms. |
| MT-008-18 | 2018-08-27. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ENGINE. ENGINE NO START (KEY NOT DETECTED): Some customers may complain about the following: Intermittent engine no start, Instrument cluster red security indicator light ON, Engine Start/Start Button Amber indicator light flashing. |

| SA-026-18 | 2018-07-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE. If a vehicle is driven on extremely short trips most of the time (where the engine never reaches normal operating temperature), the engine oil may become diluted with fuel and the engine oil level will increase. Engine oil dilution with fuel occurring under this specific driving condition is normal with direct injection engines. If the vehicle is driven on a longer trip after a lot of short trips (where the engine reaches normal operating temperature), the Check Engine Light may turn ON with DTC P0172:00 (Fuel system too rich). |
| 01-013-18-3478 | 2018-07-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit the check engine light on with DTC P0456 stored in the PCM memory. P0456: EVAP system leak detected (very small leak)The concern is most likely the result of the customer not getting the fuel cap completely closed after fuelingthe vehicle. This causes a small fuel vapor leak and turns DTC P0456 on. |
| 01-012-18-3474 | 2018-07-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Some vehicles may experience the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON with DTC P2610 and P2507 stored inmemory after engine start and room fuse 15A (A) removed. P2610:00: Instrument cluster internal engine off timer performance problem P2507:00: PCM battery voltage low input. As a past malfunction, the customer will not notice it (no warning light illuminated), but the DTC may be found during a vehicle service. P2507 in this situation is only applicable on 2016 and later models. This is caused by the engine being started 3 or more times after a short duration of engine off (less than 15 seconds) with the room fused removed. NOTE: The odometer will display "F0-002" during transport mode (room fuse 15A removed). Transport mode is canceled when room fuse 15A is installed or the vehicle odometer is more than 12.4mi (20km). Vehicles in dealer inventory with this concern should be repaired using the following repair procedure. |
| 05-004-18-3466 | 2018-05-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may experience the check engine light and automatic transaxle warning light ON with one or more of these DTCs stored in the TCM memory (P0842, P0847, P0872, P0877, P0780, P1738). P0842:00 - Oil pressure switch No. 1 (oil pressure switch B) stuck on P0847:00 - Oil pressure switch No. 2 (oil pressure switch A) stuck on P0872:00 - Oil pressure switch No. 3 (oil pressure switch A) stuck on P0877:00 - Oil pressure switch No. 4 (oil pressure switch B) stuck on P0780:00 - Gear shifting malfunction P1738:00 Automatic transaxle internal malfunction This is caused by the oil pressure switch A and/or B at the control valve body temporarily or permanently getting stuck due to contamination entering the passage. To correct the problem, some mass production changes have been implemented to reduce contamination and improve the DTC diagnostic logic. NOTE: If the vehicle also has a delayed engagement concern, this TSB is not applicable. Refer to MGSS online for proper diagnosis and repair procedure. |
| 04-003-18-3455 | 2018-05-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some customers may report a slight clunk/bang/buzz noise or jolt from the front of the vehicle. This concern will most likely occur during the vehicles first forward movement after starting the engine. This is a normal operating noise of the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS). Do not attempt any repairs. If you encounter a customer complaint for this concern, explain that the noise comes from the ABS/TCS/DSC "Malfunction Detection Function" initial check and that there is no problem. This initial check is a necessary function to ensure the normal operation of the ABS/TCS/DSC system. It occurs when the vehicles first moves forward under the following conditions. NOTE: Some customers may describe that the noise does not occur all the time. It does occur all the time, but the sound is more likely to be heard on a slow start and not on a quick start (quick acceleration) when engine noise is louder. |
| 01-005-18-3415 | 2018-05-07. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM. Some vehicles may experience a rough idle with the check engine light on and DTC P0015 / P0524 stored in memory. P0015:00 - Exhaust CMP timing over-retarded P0524:00 - Engine oil pressure too low This is caused by a drop in engine oil pressure due to a piece of foreign object stuck on the oil pump pressure relief valve or oil control valve (OCV). The temporary entry of the foreign object triggers a check engine light on, but rough idle will not be produced until a later time. |
| 01-006-18-3429 | 2018-04-23. Service bulletin. ENGINE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM. When the engine is started for the first time after parking the vehicle overnight in cold conditions (below 32 degrees Fahrenheit / 0 degrees Celsius), some vehicles may exhibit a rough idle and/or the check engine light on with any of the following DTC(s) stored in memory. P0300 - Random misfire detected P0301 - Cylinder No.1 misfire detected P0302 - Cylinder No.2 misfire detected P0303 - Cylinder No.3 misfire detected P0304 - Cylinder No.4 misfire detected. This may be caused by frozen water accumulated in the main silencer, restricting exhaust flow. |
| MT-021-17 | 2018-02-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Some vehicles may experience the Check Engine Light ON with DTC P0171 (Fuel Trim too Lean) and possibly DTCs P030X (Misfire). Vehicles having this concern should use the following Inspection/Repair procedure. |

| 01-016-15-3067 | 2017-06-07. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; ENGINE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). SOME VEHICLES MAY EXPERIENCE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON WITH DTC P0421:00 (CATALYTIC CONVERTER SYSTEM) WITHOUT EXPERIENCING POOR ENGINE PERFORMANCE OR MISFIRE (MITSUBISHI PCM ONLY). THIS IS CAUSED BY IMPROPER CONTROL LOGIC OF THE PCM THAT MAY DETECT FALSE ERROR OF THE A/F SENSOR, RESULTING IN FALSE DETECTION OF P0421. TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM, THE CONTROL LOGIC OF THE PCM HAS BEEN CHANGED. CATALYST MONITOR FUNCTION EXPLANATION • THE PCM MONITORS THE OXYGEN STORAGE AMOUNT PROPORTIONAL TO CATALYTIC CONVERTER PURIFICATION CHARACTERISTIC. • THE PCM STARTS TO MONITOR AFTER RECOVERY (FUEL INJECTION STARTS) FROM FUEL CUT CONTROL. • THE PCM TEMPORARILY CHANGES THE TARGET AIR/FUEL RATIO TO RICH AT FUEL CUT RECOVERY, AND DETECTS THE RESPONSE TIME UNTIL THE HO2S OUTPUT SIGNAL OUTPUTS THE VOLTAGE ON THE RICH SIDE. • IF THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER PURIFICATION CHARACTERISTIC DETERIORATES, THE AMOUNT OF THE TIME UNTIL THE HO2S DETECTS THE VOLTAGE ON THE RICH SIDE IS SHORTER COMPARED TO THE NORMAL PURIFICATION CHARACTERISTIC AS SHOWN. THE PCM DETECTS A CATALYTIC CONVERTER MALFUNCTION USING THIS CHARACTERISTIC. |
| 01-018-15-3070 | 2017-06-07. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; ENGINE.
