Service bulletins for the 2021 Mazda CX-30

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SA-032-212021-06-03. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. There have been warranty claims submitted for growling or bearing whine noise in differentials, transfer units and transmissions where the source of the noise was a wheel bearing. This misdiagnosis can lead to multiple repair attempts, warranty debits, and additional inconvenience and/or cost to the customer. To reduce the chance of this occurring, please follow the steps outlined in the repair procedure.
SA-033-212021-06-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. The rear differential case could develop a crack in the case, as shown below. NOTE: This could affect new vehicles just delivered to the dealer as well as customer vehicles.
01-009-21-37992021-04-26. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some vehicles may exhibit that the active air shutter is working, but DTC P05A0:00 (Active air shutter: Opening angle abnormality (sticking)) is stored in memory. This is caused by improper control software of the PCM detecting the DTC immediately without performing the failsafe operation. When the active air shutter detects unusual torque, it is designed to repeat the open/close cycles up to three times as a failsafe to try to remove the objects which temporarily disturbed the movement. To correct this concern, the control software of the PCM has been modified.
00-001-21-37682021-02-05. Service bulletin. STEERING; WHEELS; POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Mazda has developed factory recommended scheduled maintenance services that support all major vehicle systems. Mazda recommends dealers follow the scheduled maintenance tables as cited in the vehicle specific workshop manual or owner's manual. Services performed outside of Mazda's factory scheduled maintenance are not recommended. These services are unnecessary and create unneeded expenses for your customers.
07-006-20-37582021-01-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some customers may complain that after accelerating in hot weather, the A/C blows warm air for a longer time than other models. This is caused by improper control software of the PCM not allowing the A/C compressor to resume properly after acceleration. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the PCM has been modified.
SA-065-202020-10-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some customer's may complain that the HVAC system only blows warm to cool air (not cold) after starting the vehicle and not moving right away. This may be caused by a closed Active Air Shutter (AAS). Under specific circumstances, the AAS has a “learning issue” where AAS is kept closed after startup even if the PCM requests it to be open. The shutters will open and work correctly as soon as the vehicle speed exceeds 6.25 MPH (10 KPH). NO DTC will be set when this happens.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
