Mazda is requesting owners to NOT DRIVE these vehicles until they have been remedied. Upon deployment of the passenger side frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to explode. On January 11, 2018, Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) notified NHTSA that they are recalling 160 model year 2006 B-Series vehicles built with driver-side air bags. As of February 9, 2018, Mazda is expanding the recall to a total of 2,205 model year 2006 B-Series vehicles built with driver-side air bags. Upon deployment of the driver side frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to explode. Built 2005-08-05 to 2005-11-04. NHTSA advises: do not drive until the repair is done.

20236562023-12-12. Airbag. Issue: On certain vehicles, the front passenger airbag may have been installed incorrectly during a previous recall repair. As a result, the airbag may not inflate properly in a crash. Note: This recall affects vehicles repaired by a Mazda dealer during recalls 2318A (Transport Canada recall 2018-085) or 1817L (Transport Canada recall 2018-466). Safety Risk: An airbag that does not inflate properly can increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Action: Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the front passenger airbag.
20184672018-08-31. Airbag. On certain vehicles, the driver frontal airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. This could also damage the airbag module, which could prevent proper deployment. Failure of the airbag to fully deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the driver frontal airbag inflator. Note: This recall supersedes recall 2016-050 (Mazda Recall 9116A). Vehicles repaired under the previous recall require a final repair under this recall, as the previous recall remedy was an interim repair. Interim repair parts must be replaced with final repair parts.

Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. This could also damage the airbag module, which could prevent proper deployment. Failure of the passenger airbag to fully deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the passenger frontal airbag inflator. Note: This recall supersedes recall 2015-246 (Mazda Recall 8315F). Vehicles repaired under the previous recall require a final repair under this recall, as the previous recall remedy was an interim repair. Interim repair parts must be replaced with final repair parts.
20180862018-02-12. Airbag. Note: A subset of 2006 B-Series (vehicles built from August 18, 2005 through November 3, 2005) may pose a higher risk of driver side airbag rupture than other recalled airbags. These vehicles are being recalled separately due to high risk under campaign 2218A. <a href=https://www.mazda.ca/en/owners/recalls/>Click here to determine if your vehicle is affected</a>. Vehicles subject to 2218A should not be driven - Contact a Mazda dealer immediately to have the vehicle repaired.<br><br> On certain vehicles, the driver airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. This could also damage the airbag module, which could prevent proper deployment. Failure of the airbag to fully deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the driver frontal airbag inflator.
20180852018-02-12. Airbag. On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, could eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger frontal airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. As a result, if the vehicle were involved in a collision that warrants airbag deployment, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants, and the airbag assembly could be damaged, preventing proper function. These issues could increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the passenger frontal airbag inflator. Note: Canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. The recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk, and is expected to replace airbag inflators before their function would be affected. Additional Note: This recall for this subset of vehicles which supersedes recall 2015-246 (Mazda Recall 8315F). Vehicles completed under the previous 2015-246 recall require repair under this recall, as the previous recall remedy was an interim repair. Interim repair parts must be replaced with final repair parts.

Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. This could also damage the airbag module, which could prevent proper deployment. Failure of the airbag to fully deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the front driver airbag inflator. Note: This recall is superseded by recall 2018467 (Mazda Recall 1917L). <a href="http://wwwapps.tc.gc.ca/Saf-Sec-Sur/7/VRDB-BDRV/search-recherche/detail.aspx?lang=eng&&rn=2018467">Please see recall 2018467 for more information</a>.

20053532005-11-09. Other. On certain vehicles, the windshield wiper motor may have been produced without grease applied to the output shaft gear. After a period of continuous use on the high-speed setting, lack of grease may cause the gear teeth to distort and/or fracture during operation, resulting in the loss of wiper function. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, apply grease to the output shaft gear.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
