Service bulletins for the 2024 Maserati MC20

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

MAS005162 RU 26-082026-05-22. Service campaign. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some vehicles may exhibit a concern related to the Remote Start timer. In these cases, the Body Control Module (BCM) may not correctly align the expected timer behavior with the vehicle’s actual response time. This timing mismatch can interrupt the procedure and cause the remote start function to fail. A software update is required to correct the timer settings and ensure the Remote Start procedure completes successfully.

Certain Maserati MC20 (M240) MY22 MY23 MY24 listed in MODISCS+ are involved in a Rapid Update to install “Spacers” inside the seat guide rails on BOTH Driver and Passenger side seats. On some vehicles, the electronic seat movement may potentially stop when it reaches the end of its range, making it difficult to adjust the seat afterward. To avoid this issue, a spacer will need to be inserted in front of the limit switch to prevent the mechanism from reaching its absolute limit.
MAS004744 MCL 25-272025-06-02. Service campaign. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. We have received several reports regarding issues encountered during the execution of FOTA campaign 740, particularly on MC20 vehicles. Initial analysis indicates that these sporadic issues are occurring on vehicles where the final target software has not yet been installed. Please note that some VINs included in CLR 740 require two separate FOTA updates to complete the campaign, as detailed in the VIN list provided in bulletin MAS004603. The second update can only begin after the first update is successfully completed. Additionally, several hours may pass before the second step is automatically triggered. This delay is dependent on vehicle usage and the availability of network coverage.
MAS004585_A RU 25-072025-04-24. Service campaign. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Certain Maserati MC20 (M240) MY22 MY23 MY24 MY25 listed in MODISCS+ are involved in a Rapid Update to install “Spacers” inside the seat slide guides. Certain Maserati MC20 Cielo (M240) MY23 MY24 MY25 listed in MODISCS+ are involved in a Rapid Update concerning the LSMD (Latch Smart Module Driver) and LSMP (Latch Smart Module Passenger) software updates. This update is needed to avoid a potential incorrect movement of the windows during the door opening phase. As a consequence, in the very few cases where the short drop failure happened, a deformation or damage of the molding on the A-pillar took place
MAS004045 RU 25-012025-01-21. Service campaign. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Certain Maserati MC20 and MC20 Cielo (M240) MY22 MY23 MY24 listed in MODISCS+ are involved in a Rapid Update to verify the correct gluing and, if necessary, restore the carpet that covers the door area. The upholstery may have been assembled in a way that caused the double-sided adhesive to improperly bond with the fabric portion of the carpet, potentially leading to detachment. The procedure involves carefully inspecting the area, and if any sections are found to be insufficiently adhered, applying a patch using a specially designed tape prepared for this purpose.
MAS004372 RU 24-302024-10-01. Service campaign. SUSPENSION; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Certain Maserati MC20 and MC20 Cielo (M240) MY23 MY24 MY25 listed in MODISCS+ are involved in a Rapid Update to check the correct tightening torque of the front suspension fasteners.

Certain Maserati MC20 (M240) MC20 Cielo (M241) MY22 MY23 MY24 listed in MODISCS+ are involved in a Rapid Update to update the ECM (Engine Control Module) software. This new software enhances the sleep mode of the exhaust pipe flap valve actuator, preventing loss of communication with the active exhaust valve. In rare cases, the engine could enter limp mode, and the MIL light can only be turned off after three key cycles.
