| 25V030000 | 2025-01-23. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK. Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2010-2018 MRU and 2019-2025 Terrapro towing vehicles. The vehicles are missing the anti-lock brake (ABS) warning light and circuitry that controls the anti-lock brake function for an attached trailer. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems." |

| 24V792000 | 2024-10-23. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP:CONTROL UNIT/MODULE. Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Anthem, Granite, TerraPro and Pinnacle vehicles, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working. Built from 2019-05-02. |
| 2025031 | 2025-01-24. Brakes. Issue: A small number of trucks may have been manufactured without the wiring for the antilock braking system (ABS) for a towed trailer. Additionally, there is no warning light to advise the driver if the ABS for the trailer isn't working. Safety Risk: An antilock braking system that doesn't work could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to install the ABS wiring and warning light. |
|---|---|
| 2024632 | 2024-10-24. Brakes. Issue: On certain trucks, poor signal strength could cause the electronic control unit (ECU) to stop working or not to work properly. As a result, some safety systems may not work, including the antilock braking system, automatic traction control, electronic stability control, active cruise control and the collision mitigation system. Safety Risks: Vehicle safety systems that don't work correctly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to reprogram the ECU software. |
| 2021744 | 2021-12-09. Brakes. Issue: On certain trucks, the parking brake control valve may wear and leak. In certain situations, this could cause the parking brake to release suddenly and the truck could roll away. Safety Risk: A parked vehicle that moves suddenly could increase the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to remove the exhaust tube and fitting from the parking brake control valve. |
| 2020503 | 2020-10-22. Lights And Instruments. Issue: Certain trucks do not have the correct warning indicator to show when there is low air pressure in the brake system. Canadian regulations require the use of a symbol, instead of text, for the low air pressure warning. This can help to avoid driver confusion. Safety Risk: This small error does not affect the function of the air brake system or the accuracy of the information displayed. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Mack has made changes to ensure that all new vehicles display the correct symbol when there is low air pressure in the brake system. |
| 2019638 | 2019-12-16. Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain trucks, the headlights may not be aimed correctly. Safety Risk: Headlights that are not properly aimed could cause reduced visibility as well as glare for oncoming drivers and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the headlights. The headlights will be adjusted as necessary. |
