2025-10-06. Seats And Restraints. Issue: On certain trucks, the passenger-side seat belt anchor may not have been secured to the floor properly. As a result, the seat belt could detach in a crash. Note: For the MD model, this recall also affects certain 2025 model year MD electric vehicles. Safety Risk: A seat belt that detaches could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to reinforce the passenger-side seat belt anchor.
|---|---|
2024-10-24. Brakes. Issue: On certain trucks, poor signal strength could cause the electronic control unit (ECU) to stop working or not to work properly. As a result, some safety systems may not work, including the antilock braking system, automatic traction control, electronic stability control, active cruise control and the collision mitigation system. Safety Risks: Vehicle safety systems that don't work correctly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to reprogram the ECU software.
2023-08-25. Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain trucks, the front turn signals may not be visible from certain angles. As a result, the trucks don't meet the requirements of the Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: Turn signals that aren't visible from certain angles may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to install additional front turn signals.
2021-06-02. Wheels. Issue: On certain trucks, the hubcaps may be defective and could come loose or detach while driving. Safety Risk: A hubcap that detaches from the truck could create a road hazard for others. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to remove the hubcaps.
2021-03-09. Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain trucks, when the manual override is used to switch off the daytime running lamps (DRLs), the lights may not turn on again when you start driving. Canadian regulations require that if DRLs are manually turned off, they must turn on again when you start driving. Safety Risk: Driving without daytime running lights could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to update the vehicle software.
