United States: NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19
04V4560002004-09-20. STEERING. ON CERTAIN TRUCK CHASSIS, THE STEERING GEAR MOUNTING BOLTS WERE MADE OF INCONSISTENT BOLT MATERIAL, WHICH HAS LED TO BOLT FAILURES. THIS INCONSISTENT BOLT MATERIAL CONDITION COULD RESULT IN A FAILURE OF A STEERING GEAR MOUNTING BOLTS. THE STEERING GEAR IS MOUNTED TO THE VEHICLE'S FRAME WITH THREE BOLTS. Built 2003-04-01 to 2003-11-30.
03V5220002003-12-11. STEERING:LINKAGES:KNUCKLE:SPINDLE:ARM. ON CERTAIN CHASSIS EQUIPPED WITH DANA STEERING AXLE ASSEMBLIES. THESE AXLES ARE BUILT WITH AN INTEGRAL KNUCKLE AND STEERING ARM. THE STEERING ARM COULD HAVE LONGITUDINAL CRACKS. Built 2003-08-01 to 2003-09-03.
Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
20043412004-09-17. Steering. On certain vehicles, the bolts that mount the steering gear to the frame can fail due to bolt quality issues which cause variation in the torque-tension relationship for the joint. This results in an inconsistent clamp load, which can cause the bolt to be either over-stretched (at or above yield strength) or under-stretched when torqued to specification. Failure of two of the three bolts could result in loss of steering control. Correction: Dealers will replace the mounting bolts.
20040462004-02-04. Steering. On certain vehicles, the steering arm could have a longitudinal crack. The crack may intersect the tapered mounting hole where the steering arm ball socket is mounted. If the crack should propagate, the ball stud could become loose causing a loss of steering control, which could result in a crash. Correction: Dealer will inspect the integral knuckle and steer arm and replace if necessary.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
