SERVICE BULLETIN M1490 (V 26.9.4): DIGITAL TECHNICIAN II - UPDATES AND RELEASE NOTES. PURPOSE: Revision. This bulletin informs dealers that Harley-Davidson has made a software update to Digital Technician II (DT II). DIGITAL TECHNICIAN II (PART NUMBER: HD-48650). New Software Update. NOTE: The TECHLINK 3 (PART NUMBER: HD-48650-TL3) supports Controller Area Network (CAN) and J-1850 protocol vehicles. • 6-pin CAN vehicles are recommended to use Techlink 3 (TL-3) • All 2021 (and later) vehicles must use TL-3 (connects to Red DLC on the vehicle) • 4-pin (J-1850) vehicles are recommended to use TL-3. This includes all Fuel Injected Harley-Davidson vehicles 2002 and later. TECHLINK 3 (PART NUMBER: HD-48650-TL3) will not support Buell, VDO and Magneti Marelli vehicles (4-pin DLC). Support for those vehicles is available via TECHLINK II (PART NUMBER: HD-48650-1). Version 26.9.4, Release Date: Week of September 17, 2026. New Features, Changes. PURPOSE: This bulletin informs dealers that some S2 Del Mar and Mulholland vehicles may incorrectly have the wrench icon (maintenance required) illuminated at the time of Predelivery Inspection (PDI). The wrench icon is a time-based service reminder and should only first come on two years after the date of manufacture. The Body Control Module (BCM) controls the display of this icon and may have its internal clock altered incorrectly by the Telematic Control Unit (TCU). NOTE: Correction of Communication Date in portal transaction ID: 24MC11001286 due to new portal interface use.

L10192025-09-09. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EXTERIOR LIGHTING; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. SERVICE BULLETIN L1019: PRODUCT PROGRAM 1901 S2 TCU REPLACEMENT. PURPOSE: LiveWire EV, LLC has identified that certain S2 motorcycles do not recognize the full connectivity benefit due to the lack of completion of regularly scheduled Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) updates. Certain S2 motorcycle’s Telematic Control Unit (TCU) that have not been updated to the latest software version which prevents full operation of the TCU and the motorcycle’s ability to receive FOTA updates will need to be inspected and the TCU replaced. Vehicle performance and safety are not affected. Additionally, there is an upcoming cloud update scheduled for August 31st, 2025, which will prevent motorcycles with these early TCU software versions from connecting to cloud services. If the affected vehicle's TCU is not updated by this time, connected service within the LiveWire S2 mobile app will cease to function.
