Service bulletins for the 2018 Lincoln Navigator

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

165 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

Lever 3000 Load2019-04-15. Service bulletin. SEATS. Common portion of a presentation provided to mutiple OEM customers concerning a potential issue and investigation involving a seat adjustment recliner mechanism.
SSM 478772019-04-03. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. 2018-2019 Navigator, 2019 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit a stuck in park and or no start condition with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P27B2 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) or transmission control module (TCM) memory. The condition may occur when the customer exits remote start and selects either REVERSE or DRIVE without first depressing the brake pedal. Disconnect the battery for 2 minutes and clear the DTCs. Advise the customer to first apply and hold the brake pedal before selecting REVERSE or DRIVE after a remote start event. Do not attempt any repairs at this time. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.
SSM 478142019-04-01. Service bulletin. SEATS. Some 2016-2019 Explorer, 2016-2018 MKX, 2019 Edge/Nautilus, 2017-2019 Fusion/MKZ, and 2018-2019 F-150/Mustang/Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with climate controlled seats may exhibit a buzzing noise from the front seats, front seats too warm, and/or inoperative climate controlled front seats. DTCs B14BA:13, B1154:4B, and/or B14B9:13 may also be present. This may be due to loose terminal pin fit on the driver seat module (DSM) connector C341D (16 pin). If a loose terminal pin fit condition is found during normal diagnostics per Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-10, a new service pigtail connector (part number 3U2Z-14S411-BRAB) is available. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 119 to make sure C341D is a 16 pin connector and not a 20 pin connector. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 5 for the recommended splicing procedures.
SSM 478122019-04-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2017-2019 F-150, 2018-2019 Expedition/Navigator/Mustang, 2019 Ranger vehicles equipped with a 10R80 transmission may exhibit a whine noise. This may occur at idle and while driving coming from the bell housing and front pan area of the transmission. The whine noise may become louder when at operating temperature and increases with higher engine RPM in the PARK position. A small amount of whine noise is considered to be characteristic of the 10R80 transmission due to the offset gear drivetrain in the front support and has no effect on durability.
SSM 477692019-03-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2016-2017 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with rear volume control may experience an inability to control the volume from the rear volume control after an APIM replacement and/or reprogramming. Reprogram the APIM using the standard programming method outlined in the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 415-00. For claiming, use causal part 14G371 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 2018 Expedition/Navigator, 2018-2019 F-Super Duty and 2019 E-Series/F-650/F-750 vehicles built on or after 9-Jul-2018 and 2019 F-150/Transit vehicles built on or after 2-Jan-2019 are filled with the new Motorcraft Yellow Antifreeze/Coolant. When servicing the cooling system(s) on these vehicles, use Motorcraft Yellow Antifreeze/Coolant VC-13-G (CVC-13-G for Canada). Do not mix different colors or types of coolant. NOTE: The Motorcraft Yellow Antifreeze/Coolant may appear green in color due to the florescent dye used.

SSM 476242018-11-19. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Some 2017-2018 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may experience a noisy, soft, spongy and/or bouncy ride quality while driving. This may be the result of a shock absorber that is leaking fluid. To assist with the investigation please use the Report a Vehicle Concern link at the bottom of the OASIS tab on the PTS website. Include detail on which shock absorber(s) appear to be leaking and if the vehicle is in for a repeat repair for this concern. To further aid in this investigation, please attach a photo of the shock absorber date code label from the leaking shock(s). The brackets may crack and/or break apart resulting in symptoms that include but are not limited to binding/sticking, glass stuck open or closed, noisy operation including chatter, rattling, or grinding. The roof opening panel glass brackets are available for service as a kit (FL3Z-1651070-C). Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-17 for diagnosis and repair procedures. If the check valve has been ruled out as the root cause for the issue refer to Work Shop Manual 308-07 and follow normal diagnosis.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
