Service bulletins for the 2016 Lincoln MKX

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

16-00582020-12-07. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. Some 2015-2016 MKC and 2016 MKX vehicles may exhibit a wind or whistle noise from the exterior mirror(s) at highway speed.
SSM 481302019-09-06. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:GLASS, SIDE/REAR; VISIBILITY. Some 2010-2020 vehicles may exhibit distorted glass with a subtle orange peel pattern or streaking etched into the surface. This is caused by hydrofluoric acid which is used in some car wash solutions as a cleaning agent. Hydrofluoric acid can attack the glass and cause visual distortion and/or discoloration on the outer surface which cannot be removed by further cleaning. If this type of distortion is found, inspect the area of the glass that is covered by the cowl and/or molding. The portion of glass that is covered by the cowl or molding will not be affected by the acid. Hydrofluoric acid damage is not a defect in material or workmanship and is not a warrantable condition.
TSB 19-21982019-07-03. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY; VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES:EXTERIOR. Some 2016-2018 MKX and 2019 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit a wind or whistle noise from the exterior mirror(s) at highway speed. This may be due to the spacing between the exterior mirror base and the mirror cover. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to add foam to the back of the mirror cover for the affected side(s).
TSB-16-00882016-08-29. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD; STRUCTURE:BODY:ROOF AND PILLARS; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. SOME 2016 LINCOLN MKX VEHICLES BUILT ON OR BEFORE 3/21/2016 MAY EXHIBIT WIND NOISE AT THE DRIVER AND/OR PASSENGER A-PILLAR TO WINDSHIELD AREA. THE NOISE IS MOST NOTICEABLE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THIS MAY BE DUE TO THE WINDSHIELD A- MOULDING NOT BEING PROPERLY ADHERED TO THE A-PILLAR SHEET METAL AND/OR FROM THE SHAPE OF THE CHANNEL THAT RUNS INSIDE THE WINDSHIELD MOULDING.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
