A potential issue has been identified on certain vehicles within the listed Affected Vehicle Range where a 'Diesel Exhaust Fluid Malfunction' warning message is displayed in the message center or the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) may be illuminated on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).
LTB01245NAS22019-03-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). This may be caused by an incorrect PCM Calibration causing a false flag of the DTC.

Upon further investigation oil is found to be leaking from the interface of the PTU and the automatic transmission.

A 'Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) dosing malfunction' and/or 'No Engine Restarts message in XXX miles' message may be displayed on the Instrument Cluster (IC). Upon further diagnosis, the technician may find DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) P208A-13 and P208C-11 stored in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

SSM741252018-11-13. Service bulletin. ENGINE. A customer may experience a hesitation or shudder while driving approximately 30-55 mph and at 1400-2000 RPM. The engine speed begins to visibly flutter on the tachometer. This occurs during warm up after a cold start. This hesitation is felt under these conditions while maintaining a constant accelerator pedal position.

A customer may report a rattle / vibration either at idle or during acceleration from the underside of their vehicle, which is subsequently traced to a damaged / split / broken or adrift exhaust heatshield part as shown highlighted in the attachment.
