A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.
By component
| 04V203000 | 2004-04-12. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE. ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, A STRESS CRACK CAN DEVELOP IN THE PLASTIC FUEL TANKS. Built 1993-12-02 to 1996-11-04. |
|---|---|
| 98V040000 | 1998-02-24. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL; AIR BAGS:FRONTAL. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. AS A RESULT OF CHAFFING OF A CRUISE CONTROL WIRE, THE STEERING WHEEL ROTARY COUPLER CAN OVERHEAT AND INADVERTENTLY DEPLOY THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG. Built 1993-12-01 to 1997-12-31. |
| 96V247000 | 1996-12-12. STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR:HINGE AND ATTACHMENTS. THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR CAN FAIL TO LATCH FULLY WHEN CLOSING, CAUSING THE DOOR TO "BOUNCE" BACK OFF THE DOOR SEALS. Built 1995-04-14 to 1996-06-12. |
| 95V099000 | 1995-05-16. POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY. AT PORT OF ENTRY, A QUALITY OVERCHECK OF THE DIFFERENTIAL PINION SHAFT TORQUE WAS PERFORMED. THIS CHECK REQUIRED THE REMOVAL OF THE DRIVESHAFTS. WHEN THE DRIVESHAFTS WERE REINSTALLED, THE WRONG SIZED NUTS WERE USED. Built 1994-12-01 to 1995-01-01. |
| 2012099 | 2012-03-14. Powertrain. Certain vehicles may have received an incorrectly manufactured rear driveshaft coupling (part number TVF100010) as a replacement part during service. Drive coupling failure could allow the driveshaft to detach from the vehicle, resulting in a loss of propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash. As well, a driveshaft separating from the vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the driveshaft coupling. |
|---|---|
| 2004134 | 2004-04-14. Fuel System. On certain vehicles, stress cracks can be initiated in the plastic fuel tank at the vent valve welding ring, the breather pipe weld or at the filler pipe stub. Owners may notice a fuel smell emanating from their vehicle. If these cracks continue to propagate, fuel leakage could result. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire. Correction: Dealer will replace the fuel tank with one of an improved design. |
| 1998068 | 1998-04-08. Airbag. DUE TO THE PROXIMITY OF THE SRS AND CRUISE CONTROL CIRCUITS IN THE AREA OF THE STEERING WHEEL, AN ELECTRICAL SHORT IN THE CRUISE CONTROL COULD CAUSE THE ROTARY COUPLER TO FAIL. THIS COULD INITIATE AN INVOLUNTARY DEPLOYMENT OF THE DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG. CORRECTION: A FUSED LINK WILL BE ADDED TO THE CRUISE CONTROL CIRCUIT ON ALL VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG. |
| 1997036 | 1997-02-18. Structure. THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR MAY FAIL TO FULLY LATCH, CAUSING THE DOOR TO "BOUNCE" BACK OFF OF THE DOOR SEALS. THIS CONDITION COULD LEAD TO INADVERTENT OPENING OF THE DOOR WHICH WOULD PUT AN OCCUPANT SEATED NEXT TO THE DOOR AT RISK OF HARM. CORRECTION: AN EXTENDED LENGTH LATCH MOUNTING FASTENER WILL BE INSTALLED TO ASSURE PROPER ORIENTATION OF THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR LATCH RELATIVE TO THE MOUNTING LEG OF THE ADJACENT WINDOW FRAME. IN SOME CASES WHERE LATCH LOADS HAVE BEEN EXCESSIVE, REPLACEMENT OF THE LATCH MAY BE REQUIRED. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
