A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| PS797 | 2025-12-18. Other. BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS. PITSTOP: TECHNICAL OPERATIONS: EXTERNAL DAMAGE TO ULTRASONIC SENSOR: This Pitstop provides information related to Parking Distance Warning (PDW) alerts and repairs involving ultrasonic sensors. The PDW system alerts the driver while parking, by calculating distance based on the difference in signal transmission and reception times between the vehicle (ultrasonic sensor) and an object. The membrane film of the ultrasonic sensor is used for object detention and can be damaged by stone chips or foreign substances while driving. Damage to the cover of the ultrasonic sensor can also lead to damage to the internal circuit. As a result of this external damage, the PDW system may not receive the proper signal from the ultrasonic sensor. In some cases, the system may cause a false alarm, no alert, or phantom warnings by a “Warning Lamp’ to be displayed on the cluster. The ultrasonic sensor membrane film should be always inspected for external damage and if any part replacement should be treated as a general repair, not as a warranty claim repair for this concern. (Please note that this Pitstop only applies to models/trims that are equipped with the ultrasonic sensors.) |

| TSB_ELE358 | 2024-10-23. Service bulletin. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: SERVICE ACTION: ISLA LOGIC IMPROVEMENT (SA591) - This bulletin provides information to improve the Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) function on certain 2025MY Sorento (MQ4a PE) vehicles equipped with 2.5L T-GDI Theta Ⅲ engines produced from June 25, 2024 through August 8, 2024. When using Smart Cruise Control with ISLA enabled, an affected vehicle may not automatically update the cruise set speed to a new posted speed limit due to a software logic error. If this occurs, the driver can manually change the cruise set speed and/or deactivate the cruise control normally by using the steering wheel controls and brake pedal. |
The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
