Service bulletins for the 2026 Kia Carnival
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| PI2602_TSB | 2026-06-17. Service bulletin. SEATS. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT CAMPAIGN: 2ND ROW SEAT (LH & RH) FOLDING TENSION SPRING REPLACEMENT (PI2602) - This bulletin provides information to enhance the second-row seatback recliner mechanism to dampen the motion of the manual seatback angle adjustment during the operation on certain 2022-2026MY Carnival (KA4) produced from 1/4/2021 through 4/14/2026 and certain 2025-2026MY Carnival Hybrid (KA4 HEV) vehicles produced from 5/21/2024 through 4/8/2026. To aid in the manual adjustment of the outboard second-row seatback in the subject vehicles, the seats are equipped with recliner springs that work in conjunction with a user-controlled seatback angle lever or walk-in lever. This seatback motion is controlled by the user to achieve their desired seat position. To improve usability, Kia has developed a newly designed second-row seatback recliner spring that will dampen the motion of the manual second-row seatback angle adjustment. (Note: Only the second-row outboard seats are affected. The second-row center seat, if equipped, is excluded from this campaign.) |

| TSB_ELE422 | 2026-06-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM SOFTWARE UPDATE USING UPDATE.KIA.COM - This bulletin provides information and service procedures for updating the infotainment systems on applicable Kia vehicles using the Kia Navigation Updater available at update.kia.com. The software update may improve system performance, enhance existing features, and apply the latest operating software for supported vehicles (2021-2026MY All Models). |
| TSB_ELE417 | 2026-05-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: INFOTAINMENT SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCEDURE - This bulletin provides information on the process for downloading infotainment software updates and preparing USB for installation on applicable Kia vehicles. The software downloads and USB preparation process is similar across all supported platforms; however, in‑vehicle installation procedures vary by head unit type. |
| SC363_TSB | 2026-05-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN: OIL LEVEL PLUG (OLP) INSPECTION, AND OLP GASKET AND/OR ATF FILLER BOLT REPLACEMENT OR A/T REPLACEMENT (SC363) - This bulletin provides information to inspect the oil level plug and automatic transmission fluid (ATF) for signs of leakage and, if necessary, replace the oil level plug gasket and/or ATF filler bolt, or the 8-speed Automatic Transaxle (A/T) assembly on certain 2025-2026 Kia model vehicles listed in the table below. Also, dealers are to ensure the oil level plug is tightened to Kia’s factory specifications upon the completion of the inspection and necessary repair. The oil level plug in the subject vehicles may not have been installed properly during assembly. The oil level plug may be loose or detached from the 8-speed Automatic Transaxle (A/T) which may result in leaking automatic transmission fluid (ATF). A transaxle which is operated with excessively low ATF may become damaged over time. |
| TSB_ELE413 | 2026-03-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: DCU COMMUNICATION LOGIC IMPROVEMENT - This bulletin provides the procedure to upgrade the Data Connectivity Unit (DCU) system software on some 2025–2026MY vehicles listed in the table below. Kia has identified that Connected Car Services (CCS) functionality may intermittently fail due to temporary DCU communication issues. This condition can impact convenience and connectivity features by causing the Remote Start and Remote Climate functions to become inoperative, prevent vehicle status updates in the Kia Access app, and interrupt connected navigation routing services. |
| PS807 | 2026-03-12. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. PITSTOP: TECHNICAL OPERATIONS: CCU FUSE OPEN AFTER WIRING HARNESS REPLACEMENT - This Pitstop provides information regarding a condition on 2022-2026MY Carnival (KA4 and KA4 HEV) vehicles in which the CCU 10A fuse may open and multiple warning lights may illuminate after replacement of the front dash wiring harness. |
| TSB_ENG261 | 2026-01-28. Service bulletin. ENGINE. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: DATA COLLECTION: EXTRACT CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS DATA FROM ECU (DC26) - This bulletin provides information related to extracting “in use monitoring performance tracking” emissions data from the Engine Control Unit (ECU) of certain vehicles sold in California. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) requires the emissions data from vehicles with a minimum of 3,000 accumulated miles without reprogramming or resetting. |
| SC352_TSB | 2025-12-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN: HVAC SOFTWARE UPGRADE FOR PTC OPERATION LOGIC IMPROVEMENT (SC352) - This bulletin provides information to upgrade the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control software on certain 2025-2026MY Carnival HEV (KA4 HEV) vehicles produced from May 16, 2024 through September 8, 2025, to prevent excessive discharging of the 12V battery by the Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) heater under certain operating conditions. When the engine is below operating temperature, the PTC heater is used to provide additional heat to the cabin. In very cold environments and under high electrical load, the PTC heater in the subject vehicles may discharge the 12V battery faster than it can charge. If the 12V battery becomes excessively discharged, the vehicle may enter Limp Home Mode with speed temporarily limited to a maximum of 31mph until the vehicle reaches normal operating temperature. There are no warning lamps or warning messages associated with this condition. |
| TSB_ELE403_R1 | 2025-12-01. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY/WIPER. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: SERVICE ACTION: A/C COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT (SA632) - This bulletin has been revised as a Combination TSB/SA and includes additional information. New/revised sections of this bulletin are indicated by a black bar in the margin area. This bulletin provides information to address air conditioning performance issues reported on certain 2025-2026 model year Carnival (KA4) vehicles produced between December 1, 2024, and June 12, 2025. Customers may experience intermittent cooling or insufficient cooling at low blower speeds. The cause may be excessive clearance between the compressor piston and cylinder, which reduces refrigerant compression and results in inconsistent or weak cooling performance. |
