Recalls that may apply to the 1981 Kenworth W900

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

By component

United States: NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19
82V0750001982-07-26. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:CONTROLS:FOOT CONTROL/VALVE. THE HAND VALVE INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLE MAY HAVE BEEN INCORRECTLY POSITIONED. THIS WOULD ALLOW AIR TO ESCAPE FROM BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR SERVICE SYSTEMS SIMULTANEOUSLY IF THE CONTROL LINE TO THE REAR AXLE RELAY VALVES SHOULD FAIL. PERFORMANCE OF FRONT AND REAR SERVICE BRAKES DURING FAILURE COULD BE DEGRADED. Built to 1981-01-01.
Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
19861221986-11-05. Suspension. THE ALUMINUM FRONT HUBS MAY NOT MEET THE REQUIRED HARDNESS SPECIFICATIONS. INSUFFICIENT HARDNESS COULD LEAD TO HUB FAILURE AND POSSIBLE LOSS OF CONTROL AND VEHICLE CRASH. CORRECTION: HUBS WILL BE INSPECTED AND TESTED FOR HARDNESS. IF THEY FAIL TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS THEY WILL BE REPLACED. 1973 TO 1982 MODEL YEARS.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
