Service bulletins for the 2024 Kenworth T880
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 24KWE | 2025-12-05. Service campaign. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN. The right-hand shift stalk may have an improper wire harness terminal crimp within the wire harness connector. Loss of communication between the right-hand shift stalk and the vehicle may result in the vehicle being disabled after it comes to a stop, thereby increasing the risk of crash or injury. A warning will appear on the dash display when communication is lost, including transmission or engine warnings, “!” next to DNR/DNRP indicator, “-“ in the DNR/DNRP indicator, and/or chimes, depending upon whether you are operating a diesel/gas or battery electric vehicle. |

| 24KWD | 2025-11-05. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. SAFETY RECALL Additional chassis have been included. The chassis list has been updated. Certain T370 / T440 / T470 / T480 / T660 / T680 / T800 / T880 / W900 / C500 chassis may be equipped with air tank reservoirs that have less than twelve times the combined volume of all service brake chambers which fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No.121, Air Brake Systems. |
| 25PACG | 2025-11-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. The 15-inch digital display in certain model year 2024–2026 Kenworth chassis may enter recovery mode (blue wrench screen) without prior indication. The screen becomes non-responsive and may result in non-compliance with FMVSS/CMVSS 101 (Controls and Displays), 121 (Air Brake Systems), 136 (Electronic Stability Control Systems for Heavy Vehicles). Because of a loss of speedometer and other functionality such as warnings, indicators, and gauges, the driver will not see the truck speed or the warnings that appear on the digital display. A loss of information on the digital display may increase the risk of a crash. |
| 25PACF | 2025-09-03. Service campaign. EXTERIOR LIGHTING. Procedures are now available for Phase 1 chassis equipped with Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) and Vehicle Electronic Control Unit (VECU) part number Q21-1157-013-011 / Q21-1157-013-013. Parts and procedures for Phase 2 chassis will be available at a later date. This bulletin will be updated at that time. Please refer to the condition section for more details. Certain Ethernet Multiplexed Architecture (EMUX) chassis fail to conform to Federal and Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS/CMVSS) No. 108. Delayed or unsteady illumination of the vehicle’s stop lamps, reverse lamps, turn signal lamps and inadvertent change in headlamp illumination or lift axle position may" |
| CE033 | 2025-08-05. Warranty extension. ENGINE. 32 fuel injector part numbers (16 for MX-11 and 16 for MX-13) have been added to this warranty policy. |
| R2306 - KW | 2025-07-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE. EMUX retrofit procedures updated to make it clear that the VECU3 must have software updated and vehicle mileage confirmed correct before updating the Digital Display. Parts and Procedure section also updated to include the Vehicle Emissions Control Information label ordering and installation instructions. This label is required for all chassis involved in R2306. Included additional reference to Cummins bulletin C7014 in the procedure section for ordering emissions labels. |
| 24KWK | 2025-02-05. Service bulletin. STEERING. Safety Recall Parts and procedures are now available. Certain Kenworth model T480, T800, T880, and W990 equipped with a PACCAR 20k Steer Axle have been identified as having steering arm and/or tie rod arm fasteners that may be improperly torqued and can be at risk of failing. If either steering arm or tie rod arm fasteners fail, there may be a loss of steering control, which could increase the risk of a crash. Affected chassis will have all steering arm and tie rod arm bolts removed, replaced with new bolts, and torqued properly. |
| 24KWK | 2025-01-07. Service bulletin. STEERING. PACCAR 20k Steer Axle Steer Arm and Tie Rod Arm Bolt Torque Interim Safety Recall Certain Kenworth model T480, T800, T880, and W990 equipped with a PACCAR 20k Steer Axle have been identified as having steer arm and/or tie rod arm fasteners that may be improperly torqued and can be at risk of failing. If both fasteners, in either steering arm or tie rod bracket fail, there may be a loss of steering control, which could increase the risk of a crash. | R2306 - KW | 2024-12-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Retrofit This retrofit provides new MY24 emissions labels and replaces pre-production parts and software with production level parts and software on certain Model Year 2024 chassis. Reference the “Retrofit Parts Matrix” in the Links section below to determine which chassis are eligible and parts required to complete the Retrofit. The emissions exemption for all PACCAR MX powered chassis involved in this retrofit expires on 10/31/2024. After that date, all PACCAR MX powered chassis that have not received this Retrofit will be out of emissions compliance and illegal to operate. Certain Cummins powered chassis listed on the “Retrofit Parts Matrix” may also require completion of Cummins Retrofit C7014, accessed through Cummins QuickServe. Cummins powered chassis may also be subject to emissions exemption expiration. Refer to engine emissions label to determine if an exemption expiration date applies. Chassis equipped with PACCAR MX engines will receive redesigned fuel injectors to optimize engine performance. |
