Service bulletins for the 2025 Kenworth T680
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Included additional reference to Cummins bulletin C7014 in the procedure section for ordering emissions labels. |
| 25KWC | 2025-05-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Safety Recall – Interim Notification Certain Kenworth T680E Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) chassis equipped with certain Accelera High VoltageInterlock Loop (HVIL) circuit configurations may experience a sudden loss of high voltage power with unintended opening of electrical contractors, which may occur without warning. This can result in a loss of propulsion and may increase the risk of a crash. This bulletin will be updated when parts and procedures are available. |
| 25WC/PBC - KW | 2025-05-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Safety Recall Certain Kenworth T680E Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) chassis equipped with certain Accelera High VoltageInterlock Loop (HVIL) circuit configurations may experience a sudden loss of high voltage power with unintended opening of electrical contractors, which may occur without warning. This can result in a loss ofpropulsion and may increase the risk of a crash. Software version verification, along with the installation of an upgraded circuit overlay harness kit, is required to address this issue. |
| R2405 - KW | 2025-05-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Due to parts availability, this bulletin will be divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 will bring affected chassis into emissions compliance before 06/30/2025 to avoid fines and penalties. Phase 2 will include all parts that are not currently available but are necessary to bring chassis up to production level. This bulletin will be updated once all Phase 2 parts become available. The emissions exemption for all chassis involved in this retrofit expires on 06/30/2025. After that date, all chassis that have not received this Phase 1 Retrofit will be out of compliance with emissions regulations and illegal to operate. NOTE If emissions exemptions are allowed to expire, vehicle owners could receive civil fines per regulation 40 CFR 19.4 up to $5,911 per engine. In addition, owners may be required to discontinue operation of the vehicle until the retrofit is completed. |

| 24KWF | 2024-08-02. Service bulletin. STEERING. SAFETY RECALL Repair parts and procedures are now available. Certain Kenworth vehicles from model year 2025 may contain steering gear(s) with a sector shaft that may not meet hardness requirements for the gear teeth due to improper heat-treating during assembly. Sector shaft gear teeth with lower than required hardness may prematurely wear, crack, or fracture. A fractured gear tooth may interfere with the gear mechanism leading to binding which in turn may increase the likelihood of a crash. |

This bulletin will be updated once repair parts are available. The right-hand shift stalk may have an improper wire harness terminal crimp within the wire harness connector. Loss of communication between the right-hand shift stalk and the transmission may result in the vehicle becoming disabled after it comes to a stop thereby increasing the risk of crash or injury. A transmission fault will appear on the dash display if communication is lost. |
| 24KWC | 2024-03-04. Service bulletin. STEERING. Safety Recall Inspection procedures are available. Steering gear serial numbers must be inspected to determine suspect gears. Certain steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly, causing the gear to fracture. This can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash. |
