Service bulletins for the 2024 Kenworth T280
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 24KWE | 2024-04-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN. Safety Recall – INTERIM NOTIFICATION Parts are not currently available for this safety recall. This bulletin will be updated once repair parts are available. The right-hand shift stalk may have an improper wire harness terminal crimp within the wire harness connector. Loss of communication between the right-hand shift stalk and the transmission may result in the vehicle becoming disabled after it comes to a stop thereby increasing the risk of crash or injury. A transmission fault will appear on the dash display if communication is lost. |
| 24KWA | 2024-03-04. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY; BACK OVER PREVENTION. SAFETY RECALL Certain T180/T280/T380/T480 chassis may have cab mirror glass lock rings not fully seated. This could result in loss of mirror glass, reducing rear visibility and increasing the risk of an accident or injury. Missing mirrors cause non-compliance with FMVSS 111 / CMVSS 111. Mirror glass lock rings must be inspected and, if necessary, reseated. |
| 24KWC | 2024-03-04. Service bulletin. STEERING. Safety Recall Inspection procedures are available. Steering gear serial numbers must be inspected to determine suspect gears. Certain steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly, causing the gear to fracture. This can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash. |

| 23KWE | 2023-09-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Safety Recall: Parts and repair procedures are now available. Kenworth has determined that a safety defect exists in certain Model Year 2023-2024 T280, T380, and T480 chassis with TX-8 transmissions and flange mounted yokes. A locking feature may not be installed on fastener threads. This may allow the driveline fasteners to become loose, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. |
| 23KWB | 2023-06-03. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR. Parts and repair procedures are now available. Kenworth has determined that a safety defect exists in certain Model Year 2021-2024 T280, T380, and T480 chassis with air brakes. The brake pedal plunger which connects the brake pedal to the brake valve may dislodge after the pedal is fully depressed, and rapidly released (side slip foot brake release). If the plunger in the brake pedal assembly dislodges, the driver may be unable to apply the service brakes, which may increase the risk of a crash. |
