Recalls that may apply to the 2007 Kalmar OTTAWA

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

20083512008-09-26. Brakes. On certain vehicles, a "U" series Weatherhead crimp type hose was substituted in place of a "P" series type fitting during the manufacturing process. This combination of a non approved fitting with an approved hose is a noncompliance to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS). The noncompliance air brake hose assembly was only used on rear axle brake chambers in a rear axle position when an axle suspension was installed. If a hose failure occurred it may cause a sudden application of the brakes and could cause a loss of control. Correction: Dealer will replace hoses.
20073742007-11-26. Heater And Defroster. On certain trucks, the heater/defroster duct may have been installed incorrectly during vehicle assembly. Resulting chaffing damage may expose the ducting's steel spiral reinforcement. Should the reinforcement be contacted with an electrical power connector such as the power stud on the firewall, it may cause an electrical short, possibly resulting in a vehicle fire causing personal injury and/or vehicle and property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace with non-metallic ducting.
20071572007-05-18. Seats And Restraints. On certain trucks, the seatbelt tether anchorage system that secures the seat frame to the cab floor may not meet performance requirements. The tether adjuster mechanism may slip during a vehicle crash. As a result, the seat occupant may be subjected to increased risk of injury or death. Correction: Kalmar will supply owners with updated tether straps and installation instructions.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
