| 1992052 | 1992-04-30. Engine. VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH CATERPILLAR 3406 ENGINES MAY EXPERIENCE A LOSS OF THE GOVERNOR SERVE PIN. THIS WOULD RESULT IN THE ENGINE AND VEHICLE CONTINUING AT THEIR SAME RESPECTIVE SPEEDS UNTIL A CHANGE IN LOAD OCCURS (I.E. TERRAIN, BRAKES OR CLUTCH) AND COULD REDUCE ENGINE BRAKING WITH A SUBSEQUENT INCREASE IN STOPPING DISTANCES AND THE RISK OF A CRASH. CORRECTION: GOVERNORS WILL BE RE-WORKED TO ENSURE ADEQUATE PRESS FIT AND/OR STAKING AT THE ENDS OF THE SERVE PIN BORE. |

| 1989025 | 1989-03-02. Brakes. THE HINGE PIN CONNECTING THE BRAKE TREADLE TO THE FLOOR MOUNTING PLATE IS HELD IN PLACE BY A COTTER PIN. THAT COTTER PIN MAY HAVE BEEN OMITTED DURING VEHICLE ASSEMBLY AND AS A RESULT THE HINGE PIN COULD WORK ITSELF OUT OF THE HINGE AND CAUSE THE BRAKE TREADLE TO SEPARATE FROM THE FLOOR MOUNTING. IF THIS SHOULD HAPPEN, THE DRIVER WOULD BE UNABLE TO APPLY THE BRAKES WITH THE FOOT VALVE. CORRECTION: VEHICLES WILL BE INSPECTED AND COTTER PINS WILL BE INSTALLED AT THE BRAKE TREADLE HINGE PIN WHERE REQUIRED. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
