19920521992-04-30. Engine. VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH CATERPILLAR 3406 ENGINES MAY EXPERIENCE A LOSS OF THE GOVERNOR SERVE PIN. THIS WOULD RESULT IN THE ENGINE AND VEHICLE CONTINUING AT THEIR SAME RESPECTIVE SPEEDS UNTIL A CHANGE IN LOAD OCCURS (I.E. TERRAIN, BRAKES OR CLUTCH) AND COULD REDUCE ENGINE BRAKING WITH A SUBSEQUENT INCREASE IN STOPPING DISTANCES AND THE RISK OF A CRASH. CORRECTION: GOVERNORS WILL BE RE-WORKED TO ENSURE ADEQUATE PRESS FIT AND/OR STAKING AT THE ENDS OF THE SERVE PIN BORE.
19881011988-07-12. Engine. THE CUMMINS MODEL 1988NT SERIES ENGINES ON THESE VEHICLES WERE ASSEMBLED WITH POTENTIALLY DEFECTIVE OIL COOLER GASKETS. DURING HIGH LOAD/HIGH TEMPERATURE ENGINE OPERATION, LOSS OF LUBRICATING OIL MAY OCCUR RAPIDLY AND MAY LEAD TO FIRE FROM OIL BEING SPRAYED ONTO HOT EXHAUST SYSTEM PARTS. CORRECTION: POTENTIALLY DEFECTIVE GASKETS WILL BE REPLACED WITH IMPROVED STEEL CORE GASKETS.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
