Recalls that may apply to the 1999 International 9300
A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

| 2004074 | 2004-02-26. Electrical. On certain vehicles, water intrusion into the sleeper berth's bunk control panel area may pool in the tops of the dome light, TV/VCR, and/or refrigerator power switches. The LED circuit boards in these switches may begin to heat up and possibly produce a flame or fire, without warning, that could cause property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Dealer will install a water shield over the back of the entire bunk control panel. |

| 2004049 | 2004-02-05. Other. On certain vehicles, a defect in the front wheel hub bearings will result in premature spalling which will lead to eventual breakdown of the bearing. An early breakdown of the wheel hub bearing system, when undetected, can possibly cause a wheel fire, wheel separation, loss of vehicle control, or vehicle fire. Correction: Dealer will inspect the front axle hubs, and replace if necessary. This is an expansion of Recall 03-134. |
| 2003134 | 2003-05-20. Correction: Dealer will replace front axle hubs. |
| 2001179 | 2001-07-09. Wheels. Certain buses equipped with 295/75R22.5 tires mounted on 7.5 inch wide wheels, fail to comply with requirements of CMVSS 120, "tire selection and rims for motor vehicles other than passenger cars." these tires and rims do not match. Correction: Dealers will replace the wheels with 8.25" wide wheels. |
| 2001124 | 2001-01-29. Brakes. On certain vehicles, the automatic slack adjuster anchor brackets can fail due to fatigue fracture and completely separate, causing the slack adjusters to function as manual slack adjusters. If the support bracket for an automatic slack adjuster fails, the brakes at that wheel end will not automatically adjust. As the brake linings wear, the vehicle will have reduced braking capacity, increasing the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will install a new bracket on each suspect slack adjuster. |
| 2000130 | 2000-06-16. Seats And Restraints. On certain vehicles, the four bolts that hold the bunk webbing restraint latch brackets to the bunk base may be of an incorrect grade. Grade 5 bolts were used in lieu of the required grade 8 bolts. Grade 5 bolts do not meet the original design intent of the restraint. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected and all grade 5 bolts will be replaced with grade 8 bolts. |
| 1999093 | 1999-05-19. Visual System. The knurled pivot shaft (which operates the windshield wiper arm) is welded to a lever, which connects the linkage from the wiper motor. On certain vehicles, the weld at the pivot shaft to lever may fail. This failure can occur on either the right or left side causing the wiper arm to be inoperative for that side. This could result in obscured driver vision if the failure occurred during inclement weather. Correction: A stall test will be performed on the wiper system to validate the integrity of the suspect weld. All wiper assemblies which fail the stall test will be replaced. |
| 1999052 | 1999-03-31. Suspension. On certain vehicles, the radius on the cone of the inner wheel bearing was incorrectly machined resulting in improper seating of the cone against the seal flange of the steering knuckle. Improper seating of the bearing can increase the stress level on the steer axle knuckle spindle as well as bearing movement and excessive bearing end play. This can result in premature bearing wear, eventual fatigue failure of the axle spindle and loss of steering control. Correction: Inner wheel bearings will be inspected for proper seating and bearings that do not seat properly will be changed. The axle spindle and bearing cup will also be inspected for any damage and will be changed as required. |
| 1998223 | 1998-11-13. Powertrain. Certain vehicles may have experienced loosening of the end yoke retaining nut. If this condition occurs, the driveline can vibrate and separate from the vehicle, causing vehicle damage or personal injury or both. Correction: Center bearing package and coupler shaft will be replaced with a new coupler shaft and a 60mm center bearing package. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
